Because I play Necrons in the tabletop version of WH40K. That plus 'Crons are just freakin' awesome. Sadly there aren't any yet, so I'll just have to stick to Chaos when the Beta gets out.

permitted I get in, which I probably won't.

I'm still debating between three for me. Orks, SM and CSM. It's hard because I mainly play Orks on the tabletop now, though thinking about unshelving my SM to see how the new 6th ed codex is.

I play necrons as well, and They are indeed amazing. But no one wants to play me anymore when I play 'crons, so I'm unfortunately thinking of selling them...

Too many fliers, maybe?

Truth be told I only use one Night Scythe. I only really play with a group of friends, so our games never got SUPER competitive, and I never saw the need to get more. Though, the want was always there...

I think you should keep playing. Can you show me some images.

I play Orks as well, and I was going to replace my necrons with space marines

Oh, good. What chapter?

as with all my armies, I enjoy devising my own.

What tactics are they based on then?
#19 - drizzzz (10/24/2013) [-]
uh.... probably either Iron Hands or Imperial fists. I really like bolter drill, but I feel like Iron Hands would fit better with my chapter's theme. Plus, Characters and vehicles getting IWND?? Where do I sign up.

Grav-weapons are to your right.

I would go with what fits your chapter best.
#21 - drizzzz (10/24/2013) [-]
Yeah. Once again though, I want my army to be fun for my opponents to play against as well. I feel like giving virtually my entire army FNP is kind of OP... And grav-weapons are the shit!
User avatar
#22 - thewisedane (10/24/2013) [-]
Yea, but remember that FNP is pretty hard to pull of reliable. IWND is something else, however...

The people I play against is usually very tough and competitive, and as a new player, I really have to bring my A-game...

So I bought a fucking Riptide.
#23 - drizzzz (10/24/2013) [-]
hahaha... fucking riptides.

No, I'm kind of the veteran of our group. I've been playing longer than any of the others, and they kind of look to me to play fair, and maybe even to a slight disadvantage. Which I am happy to do, because one guy is so piss poor at tactics and dice rolls that he can almost be counted on to rage, I'm pretty sure this other guy has ADHD and can barely focus on what he's doing, and the final guy is our host, and he happens to have a bit of a fragile ego.

You are a nice guy, you know that?

I play with a friend playing Necron often. He thinks that his units are indestructable - I show him something else.
#25 - drizzzz (10/24/2013) [-]
well thank you. And yeah, necrons are a bitch to fight, but they can be beaten. It's just no longer fun for my group; half of them are so disheartened at the thought of playing against 'Crons that they've already lost before we've even started. Besides, I'm looking for a little change, and I've always wanted to play one of the Imperium's armies, and I feel that Marines will still be challenging but also more fun.
