And I didn't. It really wasn't that sad. There was barely a connection made over time to her, and it was very early in the series. If I had a child I would probably have cared a little more but not to the extent of crying.

And this isn't coming from a rock, I have gotten teary eyed over a few anime before.

Oh, i understand. I mean i had watery eyes, i was only 14 when i saw it, but
to see a child who loves their parent who is to busy to care about them and betrays their innocent unconditional love and ultimately kills her is sad and semi relatable to most kids.
(the being ignored part, or the betrayal) even though there wasn't a long standing connection to the characters, it was still in my opinion, sad.

Hmmm, did you watch Brotherhood or the original anime? In Brotherhood it's still sad but not the extent it is in the original. In the original they spend a lot more character devolpment on the girl.

I also like the amount of children that play on the computer, which is significantly less than that of the xbox.
