In all seriousness though, I have other things going for me I guess. Just not many of the things I wanted :v
Pic mildly related, but luckily not me. Guy's 6'4" and balding and calls himself a fem bottom. Can't wait for this to end up in a cringe comp
Anyway, good luck with the inevitable stalkers from this.

1) The game is friendly to new players.... A bit false, in my opinion, once they get up there but Dota is pretty friendly if you stick around.
2) The game was pretty slow for a long time, even with the removal of Dota things like denying. Honestly I'd say it's only 'faster paced' because people surrender at 20 minutes because they can.
3)Professional matches more interesting to watch? That's not even related to the game, really. That's all on streams and what not. I'd say Dota and League are even in that regard.
4) Individual skill is important in both games, but removing mechanics from League at the start didn't affect that too much. Honestly, I'd say it would rely more on skill if they removed Masteries and Runes, making it completely up to what items you buy and what you lane with.
Who are 'you people'? I never defended it because it has more elements, nor did I say it was a better game. It's definitely more difficult, but to each their own. Everyone has their own preference.
But League and Dota are very similar, just with a difference in elements that makes League the more ... 'casual' game to play, especially with the whole surrender system. This isn't a /bad/ thing, or whatever. Just preference. I never said League was a bad game.
I know first hand it is a good game and many people enjoy it. I don't put it any lower on Dota 2 except in my own enjoyment in playing it. To me, I like playing Dota 2 more because the mechanics suit me better. Denying, having all the characters, no masteries or runes, no surrender button... Those all make the game more interesting and more focused on actually learning the game and playing it to me.
I'd probably like League more if it wasn't for all their characters, though.

Simple to learn yes, but just as hard to master.
1.)"Once they get around" The problem is, by the point they've stuck that long, they aren't exactly new players, and many have already been turned off from the game.
2.) I mean not including surrenders ya dingus. :v Removing denial was the biggest factor though to speeding up the game.
3.)It keeps the new players invested in the game since it gives them an easy source of entertainment with minimal barrier to entry, and then they can feel like they're better. (before they go to lose their 10th match in a row.)
4 Runes and masteries basically are items you buy really. They do the exact same thing really.
What the hell do you mean by all the characters? If you mean the champs, they kinda did that to catch up to DotA in terms of champion amount.

2) Surrenders do make the game seem much faster, though. In Dota, especially in a recent update, the games are built to last longer unless you completely stomp the other team. Long games make it fun, I think.
3) There isn't much barrier past the tutorial in both games, in my opinion. If you know the basic mechanics, there isn't much else to follow in a professional match.
4) No! That is one thing I will not accept. Runes and Masteries are far different than simply buying an in-game item. Items you buy are based on your gold you earned by killing creeps or enemy targets. That relies on your skill to last hit and get kills, nothing about how long you've played the game. Masteries and Runes are something each player customizes and makes their game play different either early game or late game from someone without those. Items in game are things everyone can get.
Dota 2 has 107 +3, as 3 have yet to be made into Dota 2 yet but exist in Dota 1 heroes, a majority of which were pre-made in Dota 1 and had many more years to be developed.
League of Legends has 123, a majority of which were released within months of each other. Back in the day, when League had like half of those, it was nice when a new one came out, but... So many of them have been rendered obsolete and have needed heavy changes, most of which didn't matter. There's always those 'flavor of the month' champions.
Not saying Dota isn't similar with their flavor of the month, but it's only recently that heavy changes have happened to any of the heroes and they've had years to balance things.
Dota's only 'new' character came out some time after Dota 2 was released and it hasn't even hit Dota 2 yet. No other new character has been made since.
