Still, anthony hopkins is the face of hannibal to me, anyone else just distracts me now after seeing Hopkins in that role for so long.
#23 - mistalleks (11 hours ago) [-]
Sure, let's just rewind the time and make Anthony Hopkins play Hannibal in TV series, no problem. Also, considering that there are five full-length movies in total and two seasons of TV series and Anthony Hopkins played only in two of them and had episodic play in the beginning of Red Dragon (2002) you just associating him with Hannibal too much. You probably saw Hopkins playing Hannibal first and then, like a little duck thinks that the first thing it saw is it's mother, you can't accept anyone other than Hopkins as Hannibal.

I think a meat deficit has made your brain start to rot
User avatar #30 - glycogen (07/24/2014) [-]
What the fuck are you saying? Are you suggesting that a corpse does not decompose?
User avatar #31 - catguy (07/24/2014) [-]
Are you suggesting he is eating rotting flesh? It decomposes yeah, but that takes a long time of poor storage to reach a bad level.
Plants begin to rot when cut from the stem as well.
User avatar #32 - glycogen (07/24/2014) [-]
It is the corpse of a tortured animal. Fermenting in your colon.

Body odour and disease.

User avatar #35 - catguy (07/24/2014) [-]
Using the word tortured is an emotional appeal to make it seem like we are morally wrong to do what is natural.
Are lions cruel and evil for eating an animal?
Humans only get disease when you eat too much meat (which a lot of the US population does, I may as well.) but a proper diet is somewhere around 30% meat and 70% fruits, grains and such.
I understand if you don't want to eat animals products, by all means if you do not like doing it then never do anything like that. Many ways of living have been developed just so people can live healthily without animal products.
#144 - billburr (07/24/2014) [-]
Glycogen is clearly being an asshole but 30% meat is an extremely high amount. You don't need any meat to be healthy but you'd be in better health if you ate less than 30% Not to mention the horrible environmental repercussions of meat production on that scale
User avatar #37 - glycogen (07/24/2014) [-]
Read the book "Why we love dogs, eat pigs and wear cows" Melanie Joy PHD

Carnism is the violent ideology that treats animals as object with no value.

Cows are gentle loving creatures and pigs are smarter than dogs.

Humans need exactly zero meat.

We are not even omnivorous anyway. ( If you think we are, double check your brainwashing and think about it)

Watch Earthlings or any slaughterhouse footage for that matter and try tell me it isnt torture.

#121 - anonymous (07/24/2014) [-]
"humans need zero meat" - implying canines in our mouths exist randomly, no proof towards our protein-rich diet (due to the meat content) being a large contributor to our brain development etc.
User avatar #155 - glycogen (07/24/2014) [-]
The human brain has been shrinking in size for the last 200 thousand years. This coincides with out departure from the fruit abundant tropics.

Fruit bats have massive fucking canines. They eat fruit.
User avatar #38 - catguy (07/24/2014) [-]
I've seen the footage before, the way it's done in a slaughterhouse is torture.
Animals are certainly smart, but what if I honestly don't care?
I value a steaks flavor more than a cows (or your) feelings.
Sorry, I guess. I can't really force myself to care about something, I can pretend really well but deep down, I wont.
User avatar #39 - glycogen (07/24/2014) [-]
Do you care about children starving to death because their food supply was sold to overseas meat industry to fatten up livestock?

Do you care about your own health?

Do you care about the environment?

Eating meat is the most destructive act possible. On more than one level.

You cant feel good having a chunk of flesh fermenting in your colon anyway. The odour leaks out of your armpits and then you become a victim to deodorant companies.
#40 - iguanagnome (07/24/2014) [-]
just gonna take a guess and assume you hold these values because you live very far from the country/any farms. yes factory farms exist but not all meat everywhere comes from them.
User avatar #41 - glycogen (07/24/2014) [-]
If you are going to drop that bullshit phrase humane slaughter you may as well retire your brain and dig your own grave.

An unethical action is not made ethical by what comes before it.

If I buy a ladie flowers before drugging her and fucking her unconscious body. It does not make it "humane rape". Its just rape.

Letting less than 1 percent of animals have some fresh air before they are killed at a young age is murder. Unethical. Immoral.

Some of the worlds best athletes and minds are vegan. If they can do it with plants, you can too.

Not to mention how fucking unhealthy meat is. Fucksake
#43 - iguanagnome (07/24/2014) [-]
All i see is alot of opinions based off little knowledge. how many cows have you raised? I think you also need to look of some definitions. I.E. Murder is the unlawful killing, with malice aforethought, of another HUMAN. there is no malice and no humans involved in a industry driven by profits, damaging cows/meat simply isn't effective. You can list countless benefits but the world is run on money not idealism.
User avatar #45 - glycogen (07/24/2014) [-]
You must be a real cunt to look for a dictionary definition to prevent you feeling empathy for another creature that we share this earth with.

going vegan is easy and necessary.
#47 - iguanagnome (07/24/2014) [-]

making a living from slavery, oppression, violence, cruelty, environmental destruction, decreasing public health and starving children by using their grains to feed animals

i feel like you've honestly never been to a farm so your opinions on how they operate are fairly amusing. As far as health you have yet to list a reason(and even if you did, people still smoke so good luck with health being relevant). As far as other countries, you make perfect sense...even though feed grain is vastly different than grain for humans via anatomical differences between us and cows, but yes inhabitants of starving countries have multiple stomachs.
User avatar #50 - catguy (07/24/2014) [-]

This might seem like a really really really weird question, but is your name by any chance Clint?
User avatar #8 to #7 - rdangerdash (01/30/2014) [-]
Nope. Nor have I ever known a Clint. May I ask why?
User avatar #9 to #8 - iforgotmypasswords ONLINE (01/30/2014) [-]
Well.. Mine is. There was a thread on /b/ about googling "[your name] the hedgehog" and having to post the most autistic image result.
Clint the hedgehog linked to a picture posted by you, so I thought I'd found my FJ namesake. I guess I'll have to keep looking.
