I have given you at least 5 examples yet you dont understand any of them. Just because something exists doesn't mean you have to use it. That's the beauty of freedom of choice. If you give someone a drink they have the choice not to drink it. If you give someone a gun and tell them to shoot themselves they have the choice not to shoot themselves. And if you give someone a noose and tell them to kill yourself they have the choice not to do it.

Are you an /r9k/ robot who needs a babysitter to tell them that drinking is bad and guns r scary? Adults need to grow up and make their own choices and be responsible for themselves, not companies

You seem to have 0 stock in the responsibilities of individuals and just want someone else to blame. Alcohol when used the way it is intended will get you drunk, not kill. As for Cigarettes I don't know they give like their on little high or something and reduce stress (albeit caused by wanting a cigarette). But what this guy is saying is the signs are out there, TV commercials, billboards, even on the carton or the bottle letting people know it's a dangerous substance. But there are other benefits you can gain from consuming them, like a good time. It's the responsibility of the people and not the companies to not do dumb ass shit with the product. I drink all the time and haven't gotten myself killed in a drunk driving accident or gotten alcohol poisoning; even if I did why should the company be at fault? I know that can happen and should take personal steps to avoid being a dumbass. My brother smokes to reduce stress, he knows what it's doing to him and he's quitting because of his kid. It's not the company's fault he fucked up his lungs for 9 years, it was his choice to buy the pack.

Ok I'm going to stop here because there's just no getting through to you no matter how many example I try and present.

If there is a box of rat poison on the kitchen counter in your house, and you, knowing that it is poison, eat the rat poison, you can't be mad at the company because they make rat poison. You knew what it does, if you didn't want to die you shouldn't have eaten the rat poison.

Companies are free to produce what they want, that's the business they're in. It's up to the people to decide if they want to use the products. Nobody forces them

Cigarettes can kill. Cars can kill. Motorcycles can kill.
Should Marlboro, Toyota, and Kawasaki be held accountable?

It's the people's choice to drink alcohol. They should be held accountable for themselves

fuck yes Malabo should be accountable is that a honest question, thats worse the alcohol as for older generations they didnt even know it caused cancer jesus are you even educated? cause that was stupid as for cars companies though no as the car is not designed to kill if you drive it how intended it wont kill you, alcohole and cigs on the other hand are actually dangerious even in small amounts as they are both poisons

Do you want bakers held accountable for obesity too? After all they sell things that can make you fat and tell people to eat them.
#38 - zenethe (04/22/2016) [-]
You seem to have 0 stock in the responsibilities of individuals and just want someone else to blame.

Nobody forces them

or i actually know what im talking about, you are trying to compare something that is marketed as poison not for human consumption to something that is poison marketed for human consumption,. not sure why you dont understand this, one is saying dont take this or it will kill the other is saying take this and it can kill, its pretty much like handing someone a gun and saying kill yourself, even if they say but on drink a little its like saying oh you can shoot yourself but only a little bit and if it kills you well its your fault, if i hand someone a nosse and say kill yourself i get charged with accessory but if companies do it, welp it dont matter cause they are companies

I think I've figured it out; you're that stupid grandma who burned herself with coffee and then sued McDonald's for lik 14 million dollars for not having a warning sign on their coffee saying that it's hot.

Lol moron

well they should have had a warning sign, oh and you just proved me right as mc donalds was accountable for something she done, but i dont think they should have and thats the part you did not read, im not saying any of this should happen but it could, i do think smoke company's should stop selling their products though

User avatar

and you are correct and i agree with you but unfortunately the problem you are not getting is accessory, its exists its a fucking law but only individuals get charged with it, not corporations, how accessory works: i give you a weapon, you kill someone you get charged with accessory

how it dont work: i give you a weapon to kill someone, you use ya brain and dont use it you dont get charged

That's not at all what you were saying, but here's another think sold as a drink that can kill you - water. If you die from drinking too much, do you really think the water company will/should be an "accessory" to your death/suicide?

How is someone to know what people's intentions are going to be before they do something? By that logic should we not allow people to drive because they might crash their cars?

you dont have to drive to die from alcohol, you can die from drinking it, and thats what it is marketed as, a drink

also just so you know i dont think this should happen i am just saying that it has logic, i believe people should be held accountable for there own actions and i think accesory in some cases is stupid but aye thats the way the world goes, cant always win
