I am the byproduct of a bored man that likes to procrastinate a lot.
Except Random Facts to happen once a day, (maybe) every day.
I have a fairly large knowledge in such things as Biology, Zoology, and Botany; Don't be surprised if my posts consist of those three.
That is all. Thanks for paying a visit!

There's a major difference between the two;
One spams mindless stupid, and fake image posts across funnyjunk
The other simply makes a fucking comment.

You can pass over a comment without having to waste time, if you don't like it, DON'T FUCKING READ IT DUMBASS.

It's not spam. He didn't post it on every single picture on front page.
If you look he posted it a second time and even has a definite reason for why: "I am re-commenting this fact so others can see it, too."
User avatar

hes posted on a bunch of content (look at his profile)

and hr posted it a second time? SPAM.

He's only made 6 posts. 2 today, 2 from a few days ago, and 2 before that.
That's SPAM?

How the fuck is it spam? That's like saying leaving a comment is spam. Infact it IS saying leaving a comment is spam.

That's false logic. Just because it has non-food uses doesn't make it dangerous. Corn is used for plastics, fabrics, adhesives, and gasoline substitutes.

More Random Facts:

Most things contain DHMO

What is DHMO?
Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a compound used in many substances as a universal solvent.

Why should you be afraid of DHMO?
Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns. Contributes to soil erosion. It is deadly to inhale. To much can kill you. Found in biopsies of pre-cancerous tumors and lesions.

I don't know about y'all, but fuck this DHMO shit, it should be banned

I'm not sure if I like water anymore...

So it's USED IN other products that are toxic... but is not inherently the component that makes it toxic.... Therefore we should be afraid of it?

this is actually quite interesting and ruined cereal just as the fact that all frozen chicken uses chicken eyes and talons in their products

You guys believe everything you're told on the internet? why don't you look up what the molecule does before you judge it? Just because it's IN something toxic doesen't mean it IS toxic..... please stop being so gullibale to scaremongering.
#43 - gamabomb (02/15/2012) [-]
no actually the thing about the chicken is just a fact thats known but not publicized by the media because the media is owned by corporations. corporations would be hurt by this info getting out because they would sell less commercial time. It is also a well known fact that everything we eat is processed and pumped full of chemicals and i mean EVERYTHING that isnt organic.
User avatar
#47 - orannis (02/15/2012) [-]
Sorry i wasn't talking about the chicken thing really... i'll admit there is some devious cooperation shit going down but when someone tells you to be afraid of something do some of your own research before you make a decision...
#50 - gamabomb (02/15/2012) [-]
well ya but i mean its still even true for the cereal because thats how cereal stays fresh, its the preservatives. Preservatives are really bad for human consumption
User avatar
#57 - orannis (02/15/2012) [-]
Salt is a preservative... Sugar is a preservative.. I'm sure they're REALLY BAD for us and in no way NECESSARY for human existence...
User avatar
#61 - Nameloc (02/15/2012) [-]
Salt and Sugar are only bad in large/extreme doses.
Just like water.

Yet with BHT, if it's simply mixed with a few other things it's motherfucking deadly.

You're taking all of this the wrong way, and I don't know how you are.
User avatar
#64 - orannis (02/15/2012) [-]
No it... This is the principle... If i mixed Sugar with jet fuel it is poisionous... if i mix sugar with cerial it's harmless.... What i'm trying to say is... As a molecule on it's own BHT might not be that dangerous... And what that "fact" is saying is that because it is also used with jet fuel it is therefore dangerous... Just because Jet fuel is toxic.... Do you see where i'm coming from?
User avatar
#65 - Nameloc (02/15/2012) [-]
Not at all.
Sugar isn't an ingredient to MAKE jet fuel.
These combinations and random comparisons are really bad, I'm sorry but they are.

There is a LARGE difference between mixing Sugar and Jet Fuel and what makes up Jet Fuel.
User avatar
#67 - orannis (02/15/2012) [-]
Quotes from the fact...

"used as an antioxidant food additive"

"It is also used as an antioxidant additive in jet fuels,"

It is nota bad comparison because it does the same thing in both... I don't know why i'm bothering you're so closed minded you won't listen to me ¬_¬
User avatar
#54 - orannis (02/15/2012) [-]
Why? It's an antioxidant.... Go look up Antioxidants RIGHT NOW and tell me they don't prevent cancer.... You're stating things like you know what you're talking about,,,
User avatar
#66 - minecraftforeverv (02/15/2012) [-]
antioxidants soak up things called free radicals, which act as mini vacuums, cleaning up the mess after a infection or virus. In high doses, such as after an infection, they can alter body cells and, in theory cause cancer. The case studies are very sketchy on proving that antioxidants stop cancers, and ones involving beta-carotene showed a negetive trend in prostate cancers and and intestinal tract cancers.
Before spouting your media learnt medical knowledge, do some research, for the good of humanity

I do A Level Chemistry under the examination board OCR (OXFORD CAMBRIDGE AND RSA EXAMINATIONS) The curriculum of which states antioxidants as beneficially anti cancer causing... I'm sorry if i accepted Knowledge from OCR as "reputable" Perhaps there is a better body you could lead me to?
User avatar
#73 - minecraftforeverv (02/15/2012) [-]
well done, your A-level chemistry is fascinating, how about researching the subject before you make bland assumptions based on your own flawed knowledge, Ben Goldacre is a great person to read on this subject and i fully suggest investing im his book: Bad Science. Antioxidants DO indeed soak up free radicals, and free radicals MAY enable certain cancers, but these logical conclusions are not backed up. You could easily say from this point that antioxidants cause more colds, because they stop the infection preventing free radicals.
Before quoting your exam board to a britfat student in a similar position, make sure you point has substance and oh btw: AQA ftw!
#41 - anon (02/15/2012) [-]
Sure it is IN other substances, but not to forget it's still doing the same thing as when it is in food.
An Antioxidant Additive.
It's particularly the list of harmful/deadly items it's mainly used in that kills it.
(There's more negative than positive, really.)
User avatar
#44 - orannis (02/15/2012) [-]
Do you even know what antioxidants DO? Have you ever seen a fruit juice ad? Antioxidants absorb free radicals in the body which can cause cancer.. .Antioxidants are GOOD ¬_¬
#55 - anon (02/15/2012) [-]
Sure but you're over looking something;
It's in more negative products than positive

It may not be toxic itself but the general thought of eating the same substance that is in Embalming fluid is a little scary.
