Don't suppose you could recommend something similar to the Night Angel Trilogy? I just finished the series last week and I can't seem to find a decent book that lives up to it. I tried Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence and Ruin by John Gwynne but neither really captured my attention.

The Lightbringer series also by Brent Weeks is pretty great, definitely different from Night Angel but with the same level of character development and story that he put into Night Angel. It isn't finished yet though, only 3 books are out, with the next coming out next year. I haven't read any of these yet, but these were recommended to me, and are on my list:

The Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan
The Kingkiller Chronicle - Patrick Rothfuss
A Storm in Tormay - Christopher Burn
The Sword of Truth - Terry Goodkind

I actually read the whole Sword of Truth series and I highly recommend it! I'll check the rest of these later today though if that gem was on this list then hopefully the rest live up to my expectations. I heard about the Lightbringer series but I wasn't sure if I wanted something by the same author or not. Thanks for the tip! A thumb for you sir

Yeah haha. They had never planned that far ahead because normally they only get like 10 or 15 letters in, but that year they were like "shit what do we do now" and just quick decided to go with alpha, beta, etc.

Refusing to have sex with someone and rape are different, and whilst we can debate about the context of all of them, the point is that these are made to be a trigger for people who are in an abusive relationship to realize they are in one. It's why a lot of them are so vague and lots sound kinda stupid. Because what if someone did start a small fire, maybe in the house, and it doesn't consume it but causes some property damage, and THEN does something other on the list. It's made to cover all bases in case someone's in a bad situation and they don't realize it. So all in all, why don't we just leave people who are literally JUST trying to help people alone, and shift onto people doing actual bad in the world.

I actually agree with a lot of what is here. Most of these are abuse, especially if that is your intent. While getting all her friends to agree with you would be technically "Turning her friends against her." Many abusers will try to cut their victims off from the outside world, and try to make them feel isolated.

All i'm trying to say that some of may be harmless, but the can still be used as abuse, and its a good way to check perhaps, not absolutely, but possibly. Its all about motive fuck i always end up taking 20 words where 5 would suffice.
