It's basically the same up to a point, just more detailed. After a certain point the anime deviates from the manga's storyline and ends differently, but other than that the back-story and lore is about the same so the Crona gender logic thing that I said is still relevant in the anime I think. The anime was pretty good, although I'd still recommend reading the manga, the story gets really good and it's still ongoing.

In the manga Crona's gender is always left ambiguous. Crona is always referred to using Japanese words with no specific gender which have no equivalent in English, making both the anime and manga very difficult to translate properly.

However I still think that Crona is probably male. The reason for this is that it is said in the manga that only females can be witches, so male children of witches would not inherit any witch powers and would be human. Crona has not shown any signs of having any witch powers, implying that he is male and human (or was human until having Ragnarok implanted).

Although I still don't know if it is possible for a witch's female child to be born not as a which, but as a human. So the possibility remains for Crona to be female. However, even if it is possible for that to happen, it is still statistically more probable that Crona is male.

That witch theory is actually really good. I never would've thought of it. But I too think the Crona is male, because in the anime he uses "boku" which is mostly used by men, but I know can sometimes be used by girls, mainly by tom-girls (e.g. Sully from Fire Emblem Awakening). Also Crona just seems more like a boy to me.

I like the theory that Medusa hated the fact that she had a male child and made him very feminine

Crona is always referred to as a he because "it" would be demeaning to him

They say electronic and really technical music is a sign of intelligence, since the brain is processing so much so quickly. I'm a big fan of really technical metal music, so much so that it almost sounds like electronic stuff. I guess I just like music made on traditional instruments.

I'm not a fan of the song, but I think that's because I really like the actual band's work. This just sounds way too synthesized, it doesn't sound like something made by a human being. To me, music is a medium that can be used to express immense emotion; all genres can be an emotional experience. So what the fuck is this? Cold, emotionless music, made by a cold, emotionless machine.

But that's just my opinion.
