The white summoned players all seem to enjoy ravenously attacking enemies beyond their ability. Or they enjoy cliff-diving via rolling or trying to do something pointless!
Many hours of this, mashed in with failed summons to seemingly no end...
Not a single warrior's call to be seen... Hope lingers, only barely so... Then it appears. His incandescent phantom bathing my sullen being with imminent radiance.
Praise the Sun!
He is true! I
summon thee, fellow Warrior of the Sun! Assist me with some Jolly co-operation!

well, honestly the north depends on who you have as your central point. If lordran is the central point then the asylum is north of lordran and drangleic far enough to the north that it becomes south,

"THE GAME IS SET IN A DIFFERENT PART OF THE SAME PLANET -- TO PUT IT ANOTHER WAY, IF THE FIRST GAME WAS SET IN THE NORTH POLE, THIS ONE WOULD BE IN THE SOUTH POLE; THAT SORT OF CONTRAST."

I'll grant you that they did say this, and so this is likely true. At the same time, there's a lot of things in Dark Souls 2 where they pretty much all but directly state it.

I think the big thing is that they seem to have this fascination with the North for whatever reason, like it's the only direction that exists. The Undead Asylum is in the North apparently, Lordran is apparently to the North, Drangleic is a "walled off land, far to the North," and the Giants invade from the fucking North. Seems like the devs don't really understand how directions work apparently...

Overall, I concede that Drangleic probably isn't Lordran, but there's so many things in the game that seem to suggest otherwise that it makes me wonder if they didn't change their minds partway through and say it was after all.

The devs have come out and said Drangleic is on the opposite side of the world as lordran. Heides tower of flame is the area Gwynevere escaped to and made a new city based on anor londo. Ornstein was only there to protect the princess and was most likely defeated by Nashandra The reason the bosses from 1 appear in 2 is because the lordvessel was taken to Drangleic by vendrick and it was broken(it is in the basement in the mansion in majula. When the Lordvessel broke all the lord souls were freed and found new vessels to inhabit.

I moved to Texas and everyone pronounced it that way, I'd correct every single person. It's like they all have a speech impediment.

No fucking way. That's some incredible irony. Yeah, every time she says it that way I get a little miffed. And she tells me that's how EVERYONE down there pronounces it.

And I'm planning on moving there...

Fucking Hell. I better be prepared to correct everyone I meet.

Thanks for the fix, there. I don't know how a person gets those two mixed up, but the evidence shows that I have. Have some cute as a show of gratitude.

Thanks man.

Sadly I have lost a cat before. We had a cat that ran away when we were living in another house and we were moving from the house right when it ran. We frantically looked everywhere. Now that you say it can take more than a week, I have the really awful thought of him coming to the door of our house that we moved out of. I can't stop thinking about it now.

Sorry to hear that, mate. It's always sad to see an animal go, but loose ends are one of the worst things in the world. I wish I could give you some more concrete answers on that. Sadly, that thought is entirely possible-- But one can never know for sure. I have no idea how long ago that was, so I won't say much on the matter, but I'm sorry to hear that.

Take heed, however.

Oftentimes these excursions may have a tendency to take something of a toll on their health. They'll come back pretty skinny, so be prepared for that. Females will almost always come back pregnant if they're not fixed. And when my cat did this, he came back and seemed to have gotten torn up by something in such a way that his fur started falling out around his chest and the wound never healed. He wound up dying a couple months back because we couldn't afford to take him to the vet.

So just be prepared for the care that you might have to put into it when it comes back. It'll come back if you've been taking care of it-- But you might need to take care of it a little more for the trip.
