Fuck, I was hoping I was right
Wait are people not mad about the facebook memes thing now?
Everyone was threatening to kill themselves when it first happened
I think i've been off this site for too long...

I don't know it's just another internet phenomenon. It used to be weird when I started seeing that shit on facebook, but I dunno, people latch on to funny/cool things. I don't wanna be some sort of internet hipster claiming to have some sort of reign over little pictures and videos on less frequented social networking sites (ex: I liked memes before they were cool!!).

I couldn't care less about this election, or any other for that matter, but his model does intrigue me. With Democrats divided into two main parties though and Trump being the major candidate for the republicans, coupled with how much publicity he gets whether good or bad, I'd say his chances aren't horrible. He will still lose though, which in the long wrong will be good for the model as it will provide it with more data and new data patterns

I think the GOP is far more divided than the Democrats at this point

Really? I don't really keep up with it. For me its already boiled down to three possible outcomes 1: The 'We're so progressive' win which would be Hilary, but SJWs have basically burned that ship down before they made it out of port 2: The 'We still have a naive hope for the future win' which is Sanders, which I think is by far the most likely regardless of whatever the current numbers are because people like the sound and idea of free things and people always want to believe in a brighter future and such 3: The 'Fearful descion' win, which would be Trump because although his main platform is the make America great thing, he's also the main one it seems that is monopolizing on free with immigration and refugees and Trump has the most experience using fear in business

Yes. The rest of your stuff has nothing to do with that. But the entire Republican establishment is doing its best to go against the the voter's wishes and ensure a brokered convention instead of a straight-up nomination.

they released a short companion book yesterday that kinda explored a little bit of the backgrounds of the three of them, and apparently Finn is a complete badass of a stormtrooper, with top marks in blaster accuracy and extremely effective tactical thinking

Yeah, but he's not force sensitive, and never trained with a saber. But he did beat Finn so it's more embarrassing that despite being force sensitive and trained by Luke, he lost to the untrained Rey.

I think Rey will turn out to be a force prodigy even greater than Anakin, I mean completely untrained she was able to not only fight off Ren's mind invasion, but also turn it back on him. Presumably the untamed power of the force gave her an advantage over Ren's conflict between light and dark. He's a chaotic, unstable person as evidenced by the ragged appearance of his blade and his tantrums, and since it's so easy for his emotions to get the best of him (and he'd just killed his father, been shot in the side, and been injured by a traitor stormtrooper who happened to pick up a lightsaber) he was no doubt in the worst possible shape to be fighting anyone, much less an untrained ball of raw force. The scope of Rey's force abilities are, of course, speculation, but the Force seems to have taken a new form. All of the abilities Ren is seen using are completely unseen in any of the now canon, so presumably things are different.

I actually agree with you on all of that, especially about Rey. She seems strong as hell.

one thing that really stood out to me is her force hallucination. All Luke saw was his own face under Vaders helmet, but she saw a whole slew of things, including Luke himself and the Knights of Ren, who we haven't even seen in reality. I am so stoked to see her trained

That could also just be down to the budget and effects available at their respective times, but yeah, she's clearly special in some way.

He got shot by fucking Chewbacca's laser crossbow. He wasn't on his A-game because he was seriously injured. He still fucked up Finn though. But he also got more and more hurt to where Rey could hold her own against him. Plus it's implied she's Luke's daughter and is strong as fuck in the Force like Kylo.

I got the implication but the point is this is the first time they ever used a lightsaber and the first time Rey ever used the force besides like 30 mins before that. a truly skilled warrior would have been able to fuck them up, shot or not.. and they wouldn't have been shot by chewy. A true force warrior would not have lost so easily. all I'm saying is he would have gotten his ass beaten easily by an obi wan or anakin

He rocked Finn pretty easily, but he is clearly not that tough, because Rey never held a lightsaber before and only discovered her force sensitivity like ten minutes beforehand.

you're right he did dispatch of Fin easily enough but any decent force sensitive character would've just taken the saber themselves bc he wouldn't be able to do shit about it lol he's a goddamned storm trooper
