That's a good website for info about studying in germany : www.study-in.de/en/community/chat/--18809/
And for football, it depends where you go, best thing is to join the local team or try and get in the best team in a local league

you could try and take a gap year and join a league in Poland then you might be able to join a German uni on a scholarship + I know this is a big jump but the USA is really advancing on football

It looks like I'll be forced to take a gap year, learn language and do some free online courses while increasing my training and trying to join a club.

I don't want to go to the US, my parents wouldn't allow it anyway. I am lucky enough that they have the money to aid my study though.
Do you have any info about trials or anything of that that might be useful to me? m already grateful for our response but I'd be more gratful.

True, Germany has one of the best grass roots football, most German talents are home grown. But the Scottish league is shit but is easy to get into and is covered by sky sports so your name could easily grow

I am versatile; I can play in any of the defense positions and Central, Defensive mid.
I fear British football would break my legs with a two footed lunge from an overenthusiastic from the first day. In Britain, they develop the players to play purely for victory and over stress discipline. Germany though, focus on technicality.

scotland has very good uni's with low entry standards plus it has a huge damned for both foreign students and students doing IT based subjects
