My favourite was the one of the players in the recording studio, because I've had some experience in the production and engineering process. He's hit the nail on the head every damn time, it amazes me actually. I love the Unholy Confessions cover he did in major key too. Sounds like ADTR, and A7X and ADTR are 2 of my all time favourite bands.

You never specified that you didn't, maybe implicitly by saying that you found it "musically" good which doesn't imply understanding of lyricism.

Oh no, no no no. I didn't say that you said it wasn't metal, and I didn't at all try to convince you that they were good or anything. Not at all, at least I didn't intend for that.

And I agree, it is kinda weird to hear that language in that style of music.

The genre doesn't change, just because they didn't make the music themselves though.

I mean, I get it that people doesn't like it. Which is fine, completely fine. But calling it fake metal, would be the same as saying all this "new metal" and "emo metal" isn't metal, just because I don't like it or because those fans are generally more dickish and dumb.

And I'm sure most metal heads wouldn't care too much, all the people I know either don't give a shit about them or likes them.

We do often see an objective difference in quality between music made by the respective artist and that which is mass-produced. Particularly in terms of originality and message. This isn't always the case, just a general trend.

It's ok to speak out about dislike for a band, though don't feel superior for your own taste. I personally can't say anything in this case. I don't remember any of their music.

Of course, I don't think it's wrong to say that you don't like them, or to argue against them.
And well, at least I think it can be interesting to discuss different music and styles and all that.

Don't think I ever claimed it wasn't metal, it clearly is.

My reason to why I don't really like it is really down to lyrical substans + the sound of the language not really falling in my taste.

I'm pretty sure thats literally 100% of music from both now, and back then.

You don't want to get payed for work? There is a huge differens in work ethics between big corporations and independant individuals.

As an independant individual you don't make music unless you like it, if it is to be consumed you might feel it to be fair that you get something in return.

The big corporations has a different take, invest money into a project, make some research on what is usually makes gains, then force your investies to take that turn, they can't say no since they sold that right.

Result: The artistic goal is radicaly different and freedom is "kind of" lost along the way with the corporations

Apparently while the girls were originally put off by the idea of metal music and probably were fabricated to make money, they actually enjoy it now and are pretty into their performances and love when fans are as well.

That's because the vocals are Jpop and the entire song changes when they sing to compensate.
#31 - vegasstoner (05/13/2016) [-]
musically i think its pretty good personally. but i dont like metal that is too hardcore so the slightly lighter/more lyrical vocals at times is refreshing for me.

that said i dont like listening to music with lyrics i cant understand so i dont really listen to it anyways.

If you're looking for lyric focus, let me spread the good word of Dreamtale, Edguy and Wuthering Heights, all of which combine great musicianship with impeccable lyrics time and time again.

You know Japanese? You weeb

And yes, the music itself is pretty good The turn off for me is the singing, it just reminds me to much of pop music and babymetals correlation to that :/

What I love the most is artist whom can nail several singing techniques, take Chad Grey from Mudvayne as en example. Just look at songs like "Death Blooms" or "Happy?" with them. It's amazing!

Talking of variety, I know exactly what you mean. As much as I enjoy Swordmasters album Moribund Transgoria I also love albums like Infestasumam with Ghost.

I don't think already liking metal makes your opinion worth more. Not that I think you meant that, you hopefully didn't. But it could seem that way.
And from what I've read, most music in Japan is fabricated by the industry, it's just how it works over there, most of the time. And well, as long as they like what they're doing, and the music brings some kind of joy to some people, then I don't really see a reason to bitch and moan (not that you're doing that) about as some people do, at least not any reason other than being a bit of a music snob.
#17 - phoxic (05/13/2016) [-]
No, not really. More like "I'm one of these people you speak off, maybe my opinion is worth something"

The normal reason people bitch and moan about western popmusic (that fitts our mutual understanding of their music creation) is that it gains a shit ton of fame and fortune in comparison to those other artist who puts in 1000% more individual effort with the outcome of getting stomped by this machine.

It's understandable why metla heads would call it out as "fake metal"
