exercise is most important. If you eat what you want, remember you have to work it away. Counting calories as #202 said is important. Energy in, energy out. You need to expend more energy than you take in. That's where the "usual" dieting comes in.

Their ideas is that if you starve yourself, you have no calories, therefore you become thinner. This doesn't work though, since your body destroys muscle to sustain itself before it does fat (wtf body).

Just watch what you eat and work at it, and don't freak out if you don't get immediate results. It takes a long time to see anything solid. And depending on your exercise routine, you may not even see weight loss, if you happen to be building muscle.

Oh and if you want to lose weight you're going to need to combine diet and exercise.

Exercise alone does NOT shed pounds if you eat like a horse, unless you have dat genetics that makes your stomach a black hole.

In my opinion, if you're gonna go for dieting, try counting calories. Limit your intake. It helped me a bit. Probably the only diet that didn't make me gain weight when I dropped it I like food to the extent where three months of counting calories or any other diet makes me miserable

Everything else is just bullshit and hype, or doesn't last. Too strict a diet and you fall back on it and gain more weight, trust me.
