You make a good point about stealth, although I'm sure there's a good chance we could mobilize our national guards to cause some initial mayhem pretty quickly.

As for the cities relying on Canadian power.... I'm curious as to how that would work.... cause ISIS managed to get control of oil fields pretty quickly and it seems they're selling oil now.

It is a pointless venture though.... we get practically all we need from Canada by being in a trade pact with them. Realistically it would only happen for freshwater.

very quickly..... that's the beauty of it 90% of them live right at the border.

Securing the Canada would take 3 days tops.

that is a strong point but at the same time it would be impossible for the U.S. to amass that many troops on that scale along to boarder without canada knowing about it due to the same factor your describing. also even if they could do it stealthy it would take years and most candian citizens dont even know about their spy core (C.S.I.S) i highly dough the average american soldier would either making it much more likely even accidentally find out info soon enough. also a point i neglected to mention earlier is that a lot of cities in the north eastern U.S. rely on Ontario/Quebec power plants
