I would formally like to apologise on this fuck nuts behalf. Eastern Canadian here and as I'm sure most of you know almost the entirety of our population live along the border, as a result that leaves a lot of open terrain and hunting and culling is quite popular so most homes do own a firearm of some form with the exceptions of the larger cities.

Canadian gun laws( at least where I live) only require you to register restricted class firearms like pistols. This leaves weapons like carbines, shotguns, and rifles completely legal to own and not needing to be registered and as long as you complete a safety course and obtain a license you can purchase them at any store in your province.

TL;DR YOU CAN LEGALLY BUY ANY LONG GUN IN (eastern) CANADA WITHOUT REGISTERING IT AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A LICENSE. PISTOLS NEED A LICENSE AND REGISTRATION

Shut up, and quit making Canada look bad.

TONS of Canadians have guns. The licensing for them just ensures that their owners are a bit more responsible than a lot of american gun owners.

This isn't about people having guns anyway, it's about poor people chimping out over something stupid.

Somehow I feel, and I might be wrong, but, maybe rioting over hockey is a bit more of an exaggeration than rioting over someone being shot?
User avatar #29 - triggerhappywolf (08/11/2015) [-]
The kid shot at the cops then got shot.
I don't care where you are. If you shoot at a cop they will shoot back.

Also pepper spray, tazers and other non lethal stuff have a shorter range. Average pepper spray has like a 10 foot range on a good day.
#24 - heartlessrobot (08/11/2015) [-]
Cops can't even go to the shooting range without filling out paper work.
And they do carry pepper spray. And tasers.
While tasers drop people fast, they don't always work, nor do they work on more than one target. And pepper spray will not work in a riot environment, it'll just get the cop killed.
Canada has a smaller population spread out over a larger area. Less people, lots of room, that alone means less crime. Lots of people, less room, more crime.
America just has more guns, which, in some places increases crime, whereas some places it lowers crime.
When people riot over hockey, they flip cars, burn shit, steal shit. When people riot over racial tensions, they flip cars, burn shit, steal shit, and beat innocent bystanders to death over skin color.

>pepper spray will not work in a riot environment
Obviously someone hasn't seen a fogger in action.
#25 - anon (08/11/2015) [-]
All I can think of to add is the non lethal riot gun from Pandorum.

>implying US police don't have to fill out paperwork every time they discharge their firearms

With fact-checking skills like those, you should consider a career as a journalist for Gawker, you'd fit right in.

Yeah but it's too late to change US. Where i live statistics show that lots of people have guns but the difference to US is that no one talks about that since guns are only used for home defence(which rarely happens since we dont have nignogs or rednecks).
#13 - dshark (08/11/2015) [-]
So many other countries have higher violent crime rate then the US, just because they don't have guns doesn't mean they won't commit crimes you ignorant fuck, it's the shit-stains that don't know how to be a decent person that give us a bad name. And ignorant fucks such as yourself
User avatar #10 - thebluedream (08/11/2015) [-]
Well here in the US states that don't have strict gun laws have lower violent crime rates than states that do. Also, our country has amendments that prevent them straight up telling us no guns at all. Canada is an exception, but most European countries have about the same sometimes worse violent crime rates than the US just not with guns.
User avatar #21 - kylejburke (08/11/2015) [-]
It's also important to remember that the states with restrictive gun laws had high crime rates before those laws were passed, not the other way around.

Unorganized and lazy are some descriptions of having ADD. Zoning out of class lectures was also something I did often, my grades just didn't show it. I usually lose focus then end up spacing out for a few seconds until someone calls my attention. Keeping a schedule helped me, but I do end up forgetting to write things down sometimes.

You can't just call people unorganized and lazy based off losing a few items.
#177 - pann (06/24/2015) [-]
dude i have ADD too its called focus and discipline
people like you that use ADD as an excuse instead of a challenge are lazy and give the rest of us a bad name

people have had ADD since the first human and up in-till resently it was called "being a little shit" and was raised (or sad in some cases beaten) out of the child over time
stop making excuses and get over it
