I just looked around places like head-fi and bought a really cheap amp at first, FiiO E5, I think it was called.

It broke anfter a couple months and I decided to upgrade to a FiiO E11K.

It was amazing, by far one of the best amps I've owned.

But after 4 years of constant use, it finally died, and i recently wanted to try out one of the smarter amps offered by FiiO, the E17.

While I can say that this amp is good, it doesn't really beat the E11K as far as price to performance goes. So I'd recommend the E11K if you can get it cheap, but the E17 is nice if you really want to fine tune the experience, even though the E11K is lighter and more portable.

Audiotechnicas are a decent pair of headphones, but i still recommend Vmodas over all semi-expensive headphones, especially with a good amp.
