Are politicians not people? Believe it or not your country is actually run by an organisation of many citizens... all that slapping the label "the gubmint" on them does is make it fair to consider them "the other" and blame all wrongs on them.

When you follow a law, you enforce it. Others will follow it because "everyone does", and so on and so forth. The only thing an official law does is make it ok to prosecute people who break it. If everyone in a country decides not to kill people, and then you kill someone, no one will say "well it's legal to kill!"

they are people with great influence on others. Never said the government was bad, i'm saying it rules you, you're the one that thinks any who rules you is a tyrant.

There's no electoral vote where politicians outvote people in my country. Obamacare came through without popular support inbf - it's an example, i'm not choosing political side

People make laws. If everyone decided that a law was stupid it wouldn't be a law anymore, regardless of whether it was written on fancy paper.

No, people choose politicians, unless they win by electoral vote. The laws are made by politicians who are usually influenced by lobbies or organizations. Also why their salary only can grow.

It's a little piece of cake to keep the people happy.
"You can have a gun, but do what we say."

The 2nd amendment doesn't decide whether or not you pay taxes and how much, the government does. The one who makes the law is the one who rules.

yes actually, most people are very stupid like that. they dont want to vote if they think their vote wont count and they dont want to throw their hat in with the losing team. its all very juvenile and nobody really takes the elections seriously. they make their votes based on what kind of bs they hear on the radio, television, or media websites.
i wonder if its different anywhere else? i kinda doubt it.

Voters in this country are lazy and won't even show up to the polls if it looks unlikely that they will win.

It decides the vote for people who are on the fence. People like being included in the biggest groups.
