I've played all the 40k RPGs with the exception of Black Crusade and Deathwatch, with Rogue Trader being my favorite by FAR. Only War is really confusing with the Skill and Characteristics advancements though.
User avatar #5 - organiclead (08/04/2013) [-]
Looking over the rulebook, it looks pretty similar to the Black Crusade skills. For skills and characteristics, you can advance any skill, but the cost of the skills depends on how many aptitudes your class and regiment give you.

It's giving you some more freedom in character creation so you're not just limited to what's on the list.

There's no reason to believe we wouldn't. People freak right the hell out when they encounter something they're not familiar with or prepared for. Just look at how people react whenever some bloated animal carcase washes ashore or something that just doesn't look right to us. The stories usually go, "I found a thing so I killed it and called the newspaper."

That's... actually really true. As far as I've read, one of the main components as to why we are omnivores is because we could pretty much outrun(distance-wise not speed) any animal. So our oldest ancestors just pretty much followed their food to death, kind of gnarly when you think about it.

In a game where the main antagonist is abused by his family pretty explicitly and is trying to end all existence, I'm pretty sure they'd mentioned if they killed them.

Looking for anything that will take someone with only a little retail experience. I haven't gotten any calls back yet, but it's only a matter of time before I find something.

Things with you?
User avatar #19 to #18 - snakefire (10/01/2013) [-]
I tried getting a job at a pet store because its the only thing I have experience with.

They didn't hire me because I'm only 16 and have no license, despite running several home businesses myself in the past, such as breeding snakes and other animals, and making terrariums.

But no, lets hire the 19 year old that knows fuck-all about animals instead just because he can drive.
User avatar #20 to #19 - organiclead (10/01/2013) [-]
That's pretty screwed up. Sorry to hear the owners were dicks, though I guess it's really their loss. Any other pet stores in the area?
#21 to #20 - snakefire (10/01/2013) [-]
The other one I refuse to work at.

Its owned by my old room mates father that abused him and stole directly from him then kicked him out at 16.
They also have shitty quality merchandise.

Ive never played an MMo like this either.
User avatar #28 to #27 - organiclead (10/01/2013) [-]
Looking over the information, I find it kind of funny that they seemed to keep pretty much everything in terms of lore from the old Final Fantasy MMO and just renamed a lot of the races. Though the actual leveling system looks completely new. Curse my lack of time to dedicate to a new MMO!
