1/3 of people in the us are obese and another 1/3 are overweight. Asking a question like this when 2/3 don't even matter is like asking what the best performance car is to the general public. The opinion of 2/3 of the people would be irrelevant.
Ask only physically fit people which is most attractive and you would have different results and if you're into fitness, you wouldn't consider someone overweight as a mate, making their opinion of "attractive" irrelevant.

That makes no sense. This is marketing, not actual dating. If 2/3rds of chicks are into dudes with the runner look, you sell them dudes with the runner look even if they're fugly because that's what makes you money. The thing is, this is sold to appeal to men, not women.

I agree with you with the exception that both ends of the spectrum in your link, would be considered ripped in my opinion. The comparison it gives would be similar to comparing a 'skinny' girl and a size zero one. Most men would prefer the skinny one. Just like most women prefer the more 'natural' looking abs.

I hate the argument even more because men ARE sexualized. Often. Like, holy shit, there's a billion dollar industry in sexualizing men in romance novels and movies. Just not in the ways most people on this site seem to think.

BOth ends are ripped yes - but it's the he-man one we see in video games etc, and its the one that doesn't appeal as much to women.
Honestly the wohle "buh buh but he-man is sexualised!" is such a bad, patently ridiculous argument.
