I certainly understand where you are coming from. And out of respect for who they used to be, I always treat them and their families with understanding and care. But the stress gets to be alot. This thread has been a good venting session. Maybe people will look at things a little differently for it.

Thank you for your understanding. I doubt, however, that others will view the earlier comments I have made with such grace. Oh well.

I understand that you get a lot of stress, and I hope that maybe I can alleviate a little bit of it with this off-color joke:

A: I put on the wrong sock this morning.

Anyways, I got to go to class for an exam. Have a nice rest of the day!

I understand to many with loved ones in this situation, it can be a rough thing. But from experiance I can tell you, it is much better to consider them already dead. A disease has taken over their bodies and left them with nothing. If they came back from the past and saw the way they were in the future, It might drive them to suicide. It makes it alot easier to hate the disease instead of the person who just had explosive diarrhea all over the dining room table, or pissed all over the sofa (im talking he pulled down his pants as if he was over a toilet and just relieved himself on the sofa). These things test your patience and your sanity to no end.

Damn, you reply quick lol!

It's really sad to think about how people suffer in situations like that (not only family or friends, but the caregivers themselves). I know that you are an upstanding fellow and I appreciate that you're doing a service that many others probably could not do, but calling them stupid in them stupid is to err.

yeah it's just about perfect because I can go to the beach whenever, but I don't have to put up with all the tourists and traffic since I live in the boonies.

and yeah, I don't mind peoples' style. it's when they never shut up that it becomes annoying.

we don't really have any significant food places here, but there are some pretty legit japanese/thai and mexican restaurants at the beach.

That's one reason why I like to go to Gulf Shores down in Alabama: It's big enough to have good stores yet small enough to not be overpopulated or crowded on the beach.

Exactly!

North east, far east, about 15 miles from the ocean as the crow flies. but I don't live in a beachy area at all. I can drive to the beach in about 45 minutes though.

But the food is absolutely wonderful. I may get hate for this, but hipsters aren't all that bad. The most annoying ones are the outwardly spoken hipsters who won't shut up about their shit. But all of the other hipsters are nice enough.

I'm from NC, grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere, where I'm from is kinda isolated and we have an accent, but not a drawl, it's kind of like a southern accent, but we kinda pronounce some words in the way a Scottish person would. It's really hard to describe. I've had people ask if I was from outside the US. So yeah, I know about the south, lol. I don't dress like a country music star, I do wear boots when I'm on the farm, but lace up boots, not cowboy boots. otherwise normal clothes, name brand t-shirt and jeans. I cant stand the wannabe redneck crowd one bit. or the guys who work desk jobs and own diesel trucks for no reason. it's people like that that made diesel prices go up and cost farmers more money for fuel.
User avatar #20 - orangepikmin (04/28/2014) [-]
See, that's what I like to hear! I love to listen to these kinds of stories. May I ask which part of NC you are from?

I'm homegrown Nashville and I got to see the Country Music thing grow to a large enough size that a lot of people started staying here. There is a whole section dedicated to hipsters in East (or was it West?) Nashville that wasn't there years ago.

how so? are the tourists less authentic?

that'd be funny since the whole country thing is just for the music, and for many musicians there it's just an act.
User avatar #18 - orangepikmin (04/28/2014) [-]
It's a kind of thing like "Oh, everyone wears this down there in the South, so let's get the get-up and blend in!" Then there's this snowball effect where tourists see more tourists dressed like that and continue to assume that everyone down in the South dresses like that. We don't all dress like that (Or talk with a Southern drawl).

Kind of like when someone unintentionally mocks you but you can't do anything about it. It isn't their fault, but it is.

But whereas the musician might look good wearing these kinds of clothes, the tourists do not. It's like the Beverly Hillbillies meets... well, more Beverly Hillbillies. It looks ridiculously tacky.

Crap, I forgot to log in.
Anyways, do you like the pikmins?
User avatar #27 to #26 - orangepikmin (02/26/2014) [-]
That I do! Pikmin and Pikmin 2 were two of my favorite games on the gamecube. It was so fun to just play.

Do you like Pikmins too?
User avatar #28 to #27 - vexillian (02/26/2014) [-]
I fucking love the Pikmins.

Honestly, it's one of Nintendo's best IPs, ever. It's colorful, fun, unique, just like every other Nintendo series, but even better

Also, Ai No Uta is a beautiful, song.
Pikmin Ai No Uta English Lyrics
User avatar #29 to #28 - orangepikmin (02/26/2014) [-]
And it's original! It honestly doesn't receive as much credit as it deserves. It's a shame, really.

And I must agree that the song is beautiful. It always calms me down when I'm getting riled up.

Have you played all three Pikmins?
#30 to #29 - vexillian (02/26/2014) [-]
Yes, I've played all three Pikmins.

All of them are fantastic games, but I've never beaten one...yet.
I'm currently playing Pikmin 2, and sometimes the original Pikmin. I've been getting closer (I'm already at the Final Trial in Pikmin, and in the Cavern of Chaos in Pikmin 2), but about Pikmin 3, I could never get passed the Plasm Wraith (the chase scene, especially)

Also, fuckin' Wollywogs.
User avatar #31 to #30 - orangepikmin (02/26/2014) [-]
I always found it to be weird in the first Pikmin that no matter how many times I had beaten a bulb-orb without him even standing up all the way, I would still lose exactly one pikmin. It outright confused me.

The Final Trial is a little bit of a bitch; if you don't have at least two days to dedicate to that thing, then you probably will lose a lot of pikmin.

My most hated enemy is the freaking Snagret. Damn thing always decimated me.
User avatar #32 to #31 - vexillian (02/26/2014) [-]
Yeah, I've kinda gone all iffy on the original at the Final Trial, and I'm the kind of a guy who switches between games often.

Anyways, and personnel experiences of your Pikmin journeys you'd like to share?

also, White Pikmin are best Pikmin
User avatar #33 to #32 - orangepikmin (02/26/2014) [-]
It really isn't all that hard, but if you don't want to lose any pikmin, it will be time consuming. Actually, do you know about the King Bulb-orb?

Hmmm.... Well, the most fun thing to do that always was scary was going down into the Water Wraith's den with one blue pikmin and beat the dungeon (not the boss though. After beating him once, there is no sense in fighting him again.). This was hard because you needed to stay by the pikmin in order to make sure he is safe, but you also needed to move everywhere in order to find the exit, resulting in chaos whenever the Wraith came down.

I'm sorry but I'ma gonna have to interrupt you right there and say that the orange pikmin are the best pikmin. I really wish that they were a part of Pikmin 3.
User avatar #34 to #33 - vexillian (02/26/2014) [-]
His name is actually Emperor Bulblax.

Actually, that sounds pretty fun. I've always gone with a pack of 100 pikmin because i'm a pussy.

Also, I must disagree. The white pikmin are clearly the best.
User avatar #35 to #34 - orangepikmin (02/26/2014) [-]
I apologize for that erroneous title. It has been months since I've played any Pikmin games. But that's pretty much the final boss of Pikmin.

You have to the first time, otherwise you might have lots of trouble getting the treasures in the cave.

Purple pikmin are also best pikmin.
User avatar #36 to #35 - vexillian (02/26/2014) [-]
Oke. =)

Well, I did it on my first file, and it sounds quite enjoyable. Thanks!

It was fairly interesting when I found out that you thumbed down all of those comments, and I wanted you to contact me in order to settle this out.

Look, I actually hate doge memes. I think that they ran their course a long time ago and they're the same shit just rearranged in the toilet to look like a different shit.

But let's be gentlemen here: I created those comments to try to be funny. Obviously, some people thought that was funny; others didn't. I wanted to know why it wasn't in order to learn what others thought.

Thank you for letting me know, so that I may consider an other course of action in the future for making jokes.

PS. You have every right to thumb down my stuff, as do I for your stuff. Sounds fair?
