well shit never mind lol im sitting here thinking this is your first marathon, that wouldve saved me a shitload of time. and 8:20 is a solid pace, is that your goal?

My goal for a road marathon would be to keep that pace the whole race if not a little faster, and finish at 3:30 (but I'll have to be closer to 8 flat to make 3:30)

Now this is a trail marathon and my first . I know that all trails vary, and It's suppose to be a tough course. So It's hard to for me to judge it.

So In all truth my current goal for that would be to keep pace with my friend.

When I did my first marathon it was road marathon, I was keeping a 8:20 pace for the first 12 miles, and then there was this hill that just broke me. Afterwards I was switching between walking and a slow jog. I remember on mile 18 while I was jogging my leg was spasming in random spots and a light tap of my pointer, nearly brought me down.

I haven't done exact distance due to the poor weather,

Now as for walking or running. Chances are the marathon I'm doing is going to be a trail, so walking may be unavoidable at some points. My friend has run it before, I will get more info when we start training together.
