war might solve a problem, but it is likely to create about 50 more problems in the process
war breeds war, that is an ancient rule.

Every time I hear someone use the word "sheep" it makes me cringe. It's ironic that a group of people who have been warped and delusioned into thinking they are free and independently minded ACTUALLY go around calling others sheep.

Yeah, it's clearly a Dreamworks film.
Just like Tangled.
#40 - tadakastu (05/06/2014) [-]
Actually he's right. It was made by Walt Disney Animation Studios. Pixar doesn't do musicals.
User avatar #42 - sketchysketchist (05/06/2014) [-]
I know, I'm just screwing around.
I'm just pointing out how Tangled and Frozen are a lot like Dreamworks films.
Damn disney is going to doom itself, next thing you know they'll be making sequels for movies that don't need them.
User avatar #132 - playapplepie (05/06/2014) [-]
Frozen has earned over a billion dollars, I fail to see how WDAS is going to doom themselves.
User avatar #137 - sketchysketchist (05/06/2014) [-]
I meant credit wise.
It's kinda like how back then Cartoon network was all about cartoons, and now we mock it for it's live-action shows and poorly greenlit shows.
User avatar #69 - stealingbikes (05/06/2014) [-]
That's not exactly a new tactic for them
User avatar #58 - rattybastard (05/06/2014) [-]
That is Pixar's job now that Disney bought them. Say goodbye to originality, and hello to selling out.
User avatar #76 - sketchysketchist (05/06/2014) [-]
Actually, Disney does that selling out.
They're the ones behind planes.
Pixar was behind the Toy story sequels, of course they're also behind Monster's University, but even though it wasn't great, it wasn't as bad as Kung Fu Panda 2, Dispicable me 2, or shrek 3.
Though I'm pretending cars 2 never happened because of reasons we can all agree with. Larry the Cable Guy being one of them.
User avatar #125 - rattybastard (05/06/2014) [-]
I don't know if you are aware of this, but what is in the making for Pixar are Cars 3, Finding Dory (a finding nemo spinoff), and The Incredibles 2. Is this the only movies they are making? No, I will admit they have other stuff down the line. But lets face it, those guys pretty much have a complete division dedicated to making sequals and spinoffs of the old stuff that worked for them, instead of making new and interesting movies. As far as I am concerned, the last real Pixar film was Up. Brave was a disney princess movie in my eyes. It really makes me sad to see this happen to them.
User avatar #143 - sketchysketchist (05/06/2014) [-]
Oh my god you're right!
Though I look forward to Finding Dory and The incredibles.
Finding Dory has a shot because Ellen is the main voice role and she doesn't really disappoint, even if you don't like her comedy.
The incredibles is a super hero movie, it'll be near impossible to fuck this up. For all we know it might be a few years in the future from where we last saw and they focus on other family problems. Like a boy through puberty, a daughter moving away, or some shit feel worthy.
Cars 3 only exists because more toys, and kids eat that shit up.

Though I agree about up and brave.
Though I think brave was more than just another disney princess movie.
User avatar #147 - rattybastard (05/06/2014) [-]
To me, weather or not they can be good movies is kinda not the point. Toy Story 3 was good, but it still pissed me off. Pixar was known for its quality and originality, and that has gone down the crapper. All Disney wants to do is use Pixar's name to flip a quick buck, get their animation department back on track, and then move on. Sadly, people are buying into it. Sorry for the rant, just an old Pixar fan that got massively disappointed after Up.
User avatar #198 - sketchysketchist (05/07/2014) [-]
I know your pain.
It's freaking terrible really.
It's the cache-22 of the film industry. Good movies don't make much money and aren't praised until years after it fails. Bad movies make enough to warrant a sequel, but are forgotten years later.
