I can better understand if he was going for incapacitation but accidentally deal a killing blow, and yes there is absolutely no evil in doing what is necessary to protect your daughter but when the man begins to realize that the rapist is no longer a threat, then the point of necessary violence has passed and needs to stop. yes it feels good to indulge in revenge even after he's immobilized, but that would be giving into evil, let alone killing him with intent. would it still be considered premeditated when he takes back control of his actions mid-beating but still decides he wants him dead?

Fair point, but you still had to shoot the guy. You saved 100 people, and that's unquestionably admirable of you, but you still robbed a guy of his life in the process. The fact that he was trying to rob several other people of their lives did not, in my opinion, give you the right to rob him of his life.

It was a good thing that you saved 100 people, but criminal psychopath or not, you never relinquish your right to live.

Btw, where did you get that number on average victims per child molester?

im in a course on the subject currently. these stats are from the textbook, and confirmed by a man that has been in the field for thirty years.

i just dont see the merit in the notion that all lives have worth

>"Murder - n. to kill or slaughter inhumanly or barbarously."
>there's a difference between killing and murder

also there's a difference between defending your daughter in her time of need and stooping to the rapist's level of evil, if not lower.
#868 - ogloko (04/28/2015) [-]
right, murder has the qualifiers of inhumanely or barbarously. not all killings are murders. murder is a subsection of killing. like, all fords are cars but not all cars are fords.

there is no evil in stepping in to exercise the daughters right to self defense when she is incapable.

moral of the story: dont rape people and you wont get punched to death
