I'm ten minutes away from Manchester, and luckily they have a 500-1000 person venue perfect for metal bands so it's not too bad. In liverpool we only have a tiny venue and a huge stadium so no band ever comes here unless they're very well known or not really known at all

Tbh same, there are loads of concerts happening near me but I only suspected Destruction and Kreator to be good out of them. I wasn't even willing to go see Black Sabbath because I thought their 13 album was just baaaad.

Agreed, though I would highly recommend seeing Ozzy perform live at least once before the old bastard dies. He can barely walk and talk during his regular life, but get him on the stage and he's jumping around and belting out lyrics like a champ. Really awesome to see. Plus, you're gonna get lots of classic Black Sabbath songs regardless, even if it were a tour for the new album.

Nothing upcoming, though I did get to see Slayer at a local place like two months ago. It was awesome! I'll be honest, its hard for me to get into the majority of the new metal that has come out in the last decade or so.

Of all the Phil side projects, Down is definitely my favorite. Never seen them, though I did get to see Superjoint Ritual at CBGBs.

I've heard that people have offered Zakk Wylde a good amount of money to tour with Phil, Vinny and Rex doing Pantera songs, but that they haven't been able to come to an agreement about it. While I would love to go see it, it wouldn't be the same. Nobody could rip a solo like Dimebag.

Awesome. In all likelihood its my favorite band ever.

I got to see them in concert 4 times before Dime passed away. First concert I ever went to was Pantera/Clutch/Neurosis during The Great Southern Trendkill tour when I was 13 years old. Such a violent pit, so much more than I was prepared for but I loved every fucking second of it. Got to see em once with deftones and Black Sabbath, and then two nights in a row during the Reinventing the Steel tour with Morbid Angel. Seriously the best concerts that I've ever been to. They were the one band that I've seen that was CONSIDERABLY better live than listening to the album.

Fuck I miss them.
