Hey man we are exactly the same.

I believe exactly what you believe.

Extremism is always bad because the moment you become an extremists is the moment you substitute logic with dedication.

And trust me that is a bad idea.

The Taliban didn't exist until the 90's. We stopped funding the Afghan mujahedin in the 80s. Do some research next time
User avatar #129 - sodaberg (10/15/2014) [-]
The US gives aid to Saudi Arabia to keep the oil flowing, Saudi Arabia chooses to use that money to back extremist groups. The fact that the US funded the Taliban is old news (over 30 years old even), but there is little direct connection between ISIS and the US, since ISIS formed after 2003 from Al-Qaeda groups in Iraq that were fighting the US occupation
User avatar #52 - thatoneiranianguy (10/14/2014) [-]
There's a noticeable lack of proof that we directly funded ISIS, proof only exists that we indirectly managed to fund them through other endeavors.

It was accidental and what the CIA calls "blowback."
User avatar #30 - lolollo (10/14/2014) [-]
You're right, we should stop aiding everybody and become a completely isolated, independent group...like the Confederacy had in mind.
#51 - widar (10/14/2014) [-]
I think just stopping to aid people who hate you and us Europeans would be a good enough start
User avatar #53 - lolollo (10/14/2014) [-]
So then we should, or shouldn't aid the Europeans?
#55 - widar (10/14/2014) [-]
lol
I realise that was a badly constructed sentence. You know what I mean though. Don't arm and train Islamists. Maybe also no financing of coups and supporting of dictatorships. Basically, no evil empire stuff
User avatar #57 - lolollo (10/14/2014) [-]
How do we profile that? I mean, it's not like dictatorships have never happened in Europe...right?

>implying proofs at Internet are as truthful as US exposes Both are equally subjective and dubious on my point of view. I can say my grandpa were killed by CiA agents, put a "proof" and sell it like the true the same way that Obama can say his uncle was killed by comunist put his "proof and tell that's true. How could you prove wrong if thyey have apparently proofs? And this is only the simples idea
>implying AS doesn't have any liter of oil to sell

By the first place, US never had to take a single foot neither on Syria or another country since local forces could have won without him. I'm not implying that US didn't have fault of make talibans, saddam and Al Quaeda surge. They could simply not give a single FUCK about terrorist unless they were a risk for resource or their heads meanwhile they invaded Middle East (knock, knock. Who's there? 11-S, Allahu Ackbar)

Woah back the fuck up man. Falklands? How was that a bad fight? Argentina invaded the Falkland islands and we defended our people. How is that even remotely considered a bad thing?

Slavery was around LONG before the British Empire (Romans, Egyptians, practically every Middle-Eastern country), and if you take a look at the history books, the Empire actually did far more good than it did bad, such as railways, stable governments and productive industry to name but a few. Yes there are dark times (massacres in India) in the history of the Empire, but EVERY country has that kind of checkered past. We abolished slavery a long time ago, so digging that crap up as an argument is null and fucking void.

It's always funny to see this stuff, the absolute bullshit that flies out the mouth of a yes voter.

Firstly, Trident is paid for by the British government, it creates jobs for Scotland and it's quite well known that over 10,000 people have a job because of the Trident program in Faslane alone. Without Trident that's 10,000 more unemployed.
Secondly we barely subsidise England, considering London alone makes 50-55% of the money of the entire Union and it's well known how incredibly rich the South East is, I really doubt that the money from Scotland makes a massive difference.
Thirdly, a few people voting UKIP doesn't mean anything, they have zero chance of any kind of power in Westminster. Besides all that if we use the pound with a currency union guess what No EU. We use the pound without Union we can't get in the EU. We default on the money we owe England, No EU. We make our own money, we have to set up a centralised bank, No EU for at least 5 or 6 years.

The notion of voting for Independence completely baffles me, we fought together for 2 world wars and now people wanna throw away those peoples memories for a vote that'll disadvantage Scotland and the UK.
User avatar #148 - nutsfromahippie (09/12/2014) [-]
Yeah, those memories of the Somme and Flanders were sure great, lets relive them all the time and reflect on how great Britain was back then and not about how thousands of young men gave their lives for what? Let's look at all the bloody wars that Britain has been in then, eh? Remember Iraq and Afghanistan, yeah, they were totally worth it. Or what about the Falklands? Or do you want to go even further back when the "mighty British empire" enslaved half the world, not only endorsed but pretty much created slavery and profiteered over the suffering of others... and people make fun of America for warmongering.
User avatar #168 - hargleblarg (09/12/2014) [-]
