If I crank my audio up to the max it's already loud enough though.

Yea but different tubes have different sound signatures from clear, to warm and bassy. I like to play around with that.

I've heard good things about the DT770 and HD 650. Never tried em, but I suppose I'll stick to my M-100's as they're pretty much all I could ask for at this point.

I can safely say I don't know as much about audio equipment, though all my audio goes through this little fucker (Asus Xonar U7). Got it for the convenience of havign speakers and headphones plugged into the same device, keeping it away from my tower, and easily switching between them.

I don't have as much, but shit...

In order from current least to most used:

-Koss PortaPro: b0ss bang for buck portable headphones, anyone should have these if on a low budget. One annoying thing is they're flimsy and hair gets caught in the sliding mechanism and can hurt like a motherfucker. Still I like how they're foldable, cheap, and are really easy to get hold of.

-Sony MDR-ZX750BN - Bluetooth and (somewhat) noise cancelling. Not a fan of anythingwireless, but I got these for free bundled with a tablet I bought. Decent sound quality, awesome battery life, build quality feels extremely cheap but I've been careful so they haven't broken yet. I used these on the bus a lot while commuting to work, and they do a pretty decent job of drowning out the engine noise. Also, because of the cheap plastic build they're very lightweight. Don't think I'd reccomend anyone buying it (feels like it could easily snap in half, honestly), but it still performs well.

-In-ears I got with my HTC phone. Didn't expect these freebies to be any good, but holy shit the overall bass and sound quality is amazing. Flat wires so they don't get tangled as easily as others. I even forgot mine in my shirt pocket once and it went through the washing machine. Still working perfectly.

-V-Moda Crossfade M-100: Overall extremely solid. Best headphones I've ever used, worth every penny. Near indestructible build quality, detachable wires (can be used as a headset too), noise isolating, comfortable, foldable, great sound, nothing to complain about IMO.

I doubt I'd call myself an audio enthusiast or audiophile by anymeans, but I sure as hell don't appreciate any crappy headphones.

Well what you see stuck there to my head are the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, Hifiman HE400, Sennheiser HD 650, German Maestro GMP 8.35d and a Stax Lambda Nova Classic. I also own the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro and now the Stax SR-507.

I've listened to them very little, but they're better than I expected honestly.

The midrange truly is as magical as they say but the thing that the reviews failed to mention was the very, very intrusive high/mid bass which occurs sometimes. Low bass is wonderful though.

The stereo imaging a strong point of these for sure, along the midrange.

One thing that thoroughly blew my mind is comfort and build quality. Materials and finish are top notch, not much plastic to be seen.

I would say these are definitely better than the Hifiman HE-400's. HE-500's? If not better, close, which grants them their humongous value.

They are not fast at all so they are a nice counter for my DT-880's.

Do buy.

It's a shame they're butt ugly, but function>form I guess.

I'm more of a speaker guy so I don't want to invest much in headphones.

Got the mood to listen to some Chris Cornell. Audioslave's self titled should arrive in the mail next week, already got Superunknown in me shelf.
