Its been holding up pretty well and at least Rebecca has experience working with a good show. Its already done a few AT type stuff.
The other two shows though....have that horrible humor MAD uses.

well see MAD is fine, MAD is classic. They've been around since the '50s. They actually take existing things and poke fun at them by dumbifying them. When something comes out as an original concept and is dumb for the sake of dumb and that is the humor they want is just sad.

I guess to be honest I didn't even give Adventure Time a chance until it entered its 4th season when I heard about its post- nuclear-apocalyptic plot element. I am still disappointed in the amount of "filler" episodes that don't elaborate on the grand continuity of the universe that is Adventure Time. But Steven just seems like there isn't a chance for anything cool like that. I don't know, give it some time and maybe the writers will invent some interesting overarching premise that will peak my interest in the show.

Its basically a different version of AT, made by a person that did episodes for AT, that's my very very weak defense for it.

Isaiah 44:6 - Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God.
Isaiah 43:10 - Ye [are] my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I [am] he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Mark 12:29 - And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Deuteronomy 4:35---Yahweh, He is God; there is no other besides Him.
Deuteronomy 4:39--- Yahweh, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.
2 Samuel 7:22--- You are great, O Lord God; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You
1 Kings 8:60 --- Yahweh is God; there is no one else.
1 Timothy 2:5 — For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

The passage you are referencing is referring to the people who worshiped "false gods", or gods that aren't even real. In the bible it explicitly states many times, as I have shown above, that their God is the only God. So therefore, Captain America having met Thor and Loki, two gods that go against everything the bible teaches, and still remaining a Christian is a contradiction.

I just wish there were better words, like more diverse words to describe such issues.
User avatar #318 - noleen (04/04/2014) [-]
All of these verses refer to capital 'G' God. All of these verses support the claim that there is nothing 'Before' God (Yahweh, He, capital 'G'). Believing there is no other 'Gods' doesn't mean there can't be 'gods'. Even you could become a 'god' and people like Cap can still meet gods while still believing in God.
These posts are getting really wishy washy with their definitions and understandings. And I suppose interpretation has a lot to do with it too.
