Alright, thanks. Good to get things confirmed (or busted) before I get back too it, maybe. Some of those hardcore cardio people were ripped as fuck, as well as possessing inhuman abilities. I assume those took rest days?

Cardio people that are ripped? Most people that are hard into cardio look like greyhounds. How many marathon runners do you see looking like Terry Crews? Heavy cardio tends to work against lots of muscle mass. They may have LOOKED ripped because of their low body fat percentage, but I would question their actual strength.

I understand that, and you're right their speed and endurance was way higher than their strengths. However, at least two of them Could easily lift and maneuver objects weighing more than them, as well as do one hand push-ups while having weights on. They also didn't do only cardio, that'd be silly. These were top level athletes in their sport (the people showing inhuman feats I talked about did Orientation), you'd need both strength as well as cardio to be the best.

Are there any DB exercises that build your quads/hams or just legs in general?
User avatar
#236 - nithorry (12/05/2015) [-]
Grab some DB, hold by your side and start squating or lunging and all the countless variations of those two exercises.

Or even without DB, doing explosive jump training is a great way to build mass for your legs.

I don't exercise, not for a long time, sadly. However, when I did, I could go for a long while without rest days, though I didn't exercise the same muscle groups two days in a row, if I did strength. I did mostly cardio activities though Holy shit, hardcore cardio people don't mess around . Does rest days apply here? (I don't think as much).

#145 - nithorry (12/05/2015) [-]
Yeah, well in a way not doing the same muscle group twice in a row is equivilant to a rest day. So i suppose in the strict sence of a day where you do NO exercise, then yeah you could say it wasn't necessary lol
Even so, it is still important to rest the whole body at SOME point in your life =) lol

And for cardio, as long as you eat enough then yeah, rest days aren't essential from an airobic stand point.

Any recommendation that is similar to milk? I'm kinda lactose intolerant and bulking. Most people I ask suggest milk all day errday.

Ahh that's a bummer!
Then the Brown Rice, i can't talk from personal exp as i've always just bulked with milk. But i've heard from loads of experence people that Brown Rice is also really effective for bulking, plus it's cheap and easy to prepare and you can add all sorts of sauces etc to it.
