You two need to calm your damn tits. Thumbed down just because I didn't know something. Yeah.. from what I just saw it may have been a crazy ass hockey game.. but come on. Did it really change anything unrelated to hockey? That's probably why it isn't talked about so widely outside of Canada... because it really didn't fucking matter to anyone that wasn't Canadian or Russian. Sure there was cheating and Soviet controlled bullshit.. but yeah.. was it as important as something like the Cuban Missile Crisis? No.

I saw a political comic that really summed up Canada's role in the world. It showed a Canadian Soldier bloody and fighting off three Taliban that had AK-47's with a broken shovel that said "American Arms Support" . Next to the guy was a US and British Soldier with high tech weaponry, marching into Iraq and Iran while the Canadian soldier said, "No it's alright, I'll clean up here, you guys let me know when you're done over there and I'll get started on that one too."

I think the problem is that most Canadians are known for being too nice.
Myself being Canadian, I'll always let someone else go first and apologize for something that wasn't my fault.
I've also been praised on being a good host.
If I didn't let so many people push me around, I'd get more respect. Same when you're talking about a nation.

Makes me kinda sad. I can take the jokes to Canada and all that shit, but ignorance is just a pain in the fucking ass. It really hurts that the majority of us make and effort to and more often than not surpass the rest of the world for the greater good, and in the end we get. "Oh wait, Canada has an Army." or "Canada, you mean America's bitch?"
#191 - anon (06/20/2012) [-]
The best part though is that bcz Canada is a "peace country" we dont get actively involved inwars unless asked by the U.N. (the main reason Canadians were in Iraq) also Canada doesnt flaunt its army/navy stuff bcz its majority is backed by the United Kingdom.

We Canadians know the truths, also remind Americans about the war of 1812 when they pussied out and ran against Canada

Or "America's hat"
America is more like Canada's pair of soiled pants.

It's kinda sad how everybody knows about the Cuban Missile Crisis and Khrushchev, but nobody outside of Canada knows about possibly one of the most iconic moment for the west in Cold War history.

A hockey game is supposed to be "possibly one of he most iconic moments for the west in Cold War history"?
#184 - niggerniggerfagfag (06/20/2012) [-]
The Russians brought the КГБ Police to the games that were played in Moscow. They threatened to shoot people. They put microphones in the Canadian's hotel rooms and "prank-called" them (calling then hanging up) at 4 A.M. to make them tired before games. Please, tell me more about how it's "just a hockey game".

The sheer fact that you said that proves your ignorance... just fucking google it and find out some info before passing judgement.

Hah, have fun at that cesspool. I just graduated from there last year. If you're still there, then you never had to deal with Dickhead Dawes, the old dean. You also probably went through "Cougar Academy" which was introduced the year after I went there and babied the freshmen into being stupid, annoying, spoiled little bitches. Hope you made it out of that without too much of it rubbing off on you.
