Really begs the question of how we even "observe" the existence of elements that are too small to even see and decay faster than we can even blink.

thanks for clearing that out, I don't remember where I heard that there were only 19 atoms on earth, or something like that.

There are some elements of which there is 0 on earth (essentially anything that's named Uxx at the end of the periodic table, as well as some others), of which we have only observed a few atoms of in particle accelerators. For example Ununoctium (Uuo, element 118) we only have observed 3 atoms, with 4th being questionable as to what it was exactly.

So far we haven't created or observed an atom heavier than 118. Any attempts have been unsuccessful.
