Yeah, to each his own.

But to me, FO3 really doesn't feel very "Fallout" to me. Post apocalyptic, yes, but the atmosphere didn't feel like the "right" atmosphere, at least for me. In FO3, the world's shit, there's good and there's evil, and people trying to survive. It's nice, but its just too simple, IMO. You can explore the world freely, but the story is on a set path. You need to help the BoS, who have been made into goodie goodies, and find your dad, even if you act like a complete monster. You're either a holy saint or a mustache twirling villain in the ruins of a society that should have developed more in the last 200 years since the war.

Don't get me wrong, FO3 is a good game, but to me, NV felt more complex, it covered more grey issues, not everything was black and white, and it felt more natural for me to immerse myself in. It also feels really connected to Fallout 1 and 2, since people in Obsidian worked on those previous games.

I think you're totally right. The BoS thing was kind of tedious. I guess for the most part I had to ignore the main storyline to have fun with the game

Gotta disagree with you on the story and atmosphere, but the rest I agree with.

Ha, to each their own I suppose. Just out of curiosity, what didn't you like? I loved the ruined DC world. Despite Bethesda's buggy and awkward gameplay, I could really get immersed in it
