Nah, actually. It's much cooler than that. Spoiler alert: They're called Diamond Dogs because of how they handle their dead. They cremate their bodies and press them into diamonds which they carry into battle.

While that's what it technically is, the context of it matters quite a bit.

Project Entropia (now Entropia Universe) was started by Mindark in order to get around Sweden's ban on online gambling. By buying the asteroid, he was more or less "buying a new casino room" from which he gets almost all of the revenue from.

In addition, he was far from the only person interested. One must keep in mind that this property was auctioned off, and the bidding was very heated (it was a big event ingame). $330,000 was the winning bid, and I remember Neverdie mentioning that he almost didn't win it due to a huge storm that his the coast of South Africa which was causing his power to go on and off.
