I suggest learning a few easy recipes and learning why things are done a certain way in them. Then, when you managed to get a basics of cooking, try doing something without knowing the exact recipe. It probably wont be very good the first few times, but as long as you can learn what you can do better next time, which ingredients to keep, try out, or leave out, as well as how to prepare the different ingredients, you will improve. Every meal you make will improve your skill, even if its just throwing a bunch of vegetables and meat in a pan.

Also, everyone has their weak points. For example, I can make pancakes, schnitzel, fries, and other foods with little effort. But for some reason, even though I've been able cook for over 10 years, I still have problems with just cooking eggs sunny side up. Don't be discouraged just because you cant cook some specific things. Just keep learning.

Also, if you ever have a kitchen fire, do NOT use water if its oil or fat that's burning. Water will only make it worse. If possible, just put a lid on it and it will burn itself out. If you cant do that, use a wet towel instead and lust put it over the fire so that air cant get in.

When you try out recipes and don't know what some of the words mean, do look them up. I'm sure you would already do that, but one can never be too careful. Also, always completely read a recipe you would like to use. Because for some things you will have to prepare food and let it rest in the fridge for a while, that can last up to a day or two, before you can actually get to the cooking part.

Lastly, I would recommend finding a recipe for Pizza, a fruit based Pie or you choice, and Spaghetti to start out. All of those a simple to make, and I'm sure you can find some easy to follow instructions easily enough.

Clearly not, cause these videos typically don't need measurements, since people who have just a little experience with making freehand food easily knows when enough is enough.

I'm fairly certain they use nitrogen to balance it out. What is wrong with fires & etc in that environment is lack of gravity, which means flames don't go "up" since heat has nowhere to "rise," and all the carbon that gets released can land on circuitry and fuck it up.

It's why they don't use graphite pencils anymore.
