The only reason we are arguing is because of the post.

The issue being, there was nothing to diffuse, nothing to require a firearm.

Yes, diffusion is THE main perk of carrying a firearm, but that doesn't mean you flaunt it at any chance you get.

You said you agreed with Igninjaleetful when he said that his arm would diffuse this situation, which had absolutely no need for any interference by the owner of the vehicle.

There was no mention of the man moving the car having a weapon and/or threatening anyone.

He just wanted to ride his bike, and someone illegally parked their car in a very careless manner.

What could possibly bring about violence, other than someone approaching him?

You have no right to park there, you have no right to bring lethality into the situation, because he obviously isn't trying to fight anyone.

oh and don't think i just draw my gun at every chance i get. i'm not an idiot. and after all this time, i've never drawn my weapon outside of the range.

look man. i'm just talking about a situation where somebody does ANYTHING that seems threatening. whether he has a deadly weapon or not, i use my gun diffuse the situation so both parties can walk away unharmed.

quit mentioning this post because i KNOW its illegal to park there and i KNOW the driver is at fault. and i ALSO KNOW that the biker is most likely unarmed and wont attack unless provoked.

You're telling me you'd shoot a man because he wants to ride his bike, after you parked your car illegally on the bike path?

You'd shoot someone for just trying to ride a bike?

How would you ever even begin to defend that as self-defense?

"So you shot the man for moving your vehicle?"
"No your honor, he assaulted me when I asked him to quit."
"So he tried to stab you?"
"No, he yelled at me for parking like a complete fucking cunt, so I shot him."

no. i'm not talking about this particular situation. i'm just saying if someone acts in a manner where i feel threatened, i'll defend myself. i don't fight. and don't think all gun owners are trigger happy idiots that shoot first then ask questions later
