"So sex wasn't even a topic in my house. I knew nothing about it except it was for grown ups"

"I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT."
No thing; not anything: The box contained nothing. I've heard nothing about it.
No part; no portion: Nothing remains of the old house but the cellar hole.
Now let's put together how NOTHING means "He knew what se[x] was." Clearly context clues. You know, an 11 year old with a literal pastor as priest, obviously he knew everything on the subject, or are context clues too hard for you?
The problem is simple, you took "never?!" and made it "never." One denotes confusion because he doesn't know what it is, and the other is a straight forward answer implying he understood what was asked. I'll leave you to your "context clues" to figure out which is which.

Truthfully, yes, it's known as an exaggeration. But I hate morons that use obscenities and down vote you for bringing up a point counter to their own. As I said, they are in seventh grade, and his padre is a pastor, so there is a very good chance nothing means nothing.
Why would he specifically state "I knew nothing about it except it's for grown ups" if he had a solid concept what sex was? I still fail to see how anyone could see "little to none" as "He knew what sex was..."

I think we all had an understanding of what sex was at a young age. Whether you think babies come out of a belly button or your dick goes in her belly button or you have no clue what's between the opposite gender's legs, humans at a very young age can conceptualize the concept of sex.
We can grasp the vocabulary of babies, sex, and the like. I know that Einstein came up with the equation E=mc^2 and what the symbols mean but I couldn't tell you how he came up with it.

I had sex-ed in 5th grade, so I can't relate. Yes, they can understand it, but I'm not george, aka the first guy in this chain. My point was he stated it was a taboo subject, and therefore directly said he knew nothing, but you all seem to imply otherwise. I'm sharply reminded of when Ray Bradbury tried telling everyone his book wasn't about censorship, yet the people at the lecture hall insisted it was. It literally says he didn't know, but y'all keep assuming he did.

True, but I'm using a direct quote, and y'all are telling me I'm the idiot making it up.
#40 - anon (07/24/2016) [-]
And for anyone else reading this, I'm not saying I'm Ray Bradbury. My point was Ray Bradbury directly said it wasn't about censorship, but others assumed it was; just like Kiran directly said he knew nothing, but others assume he did.

"So what you're telling me is you've never used the word "nothing" to mean "very little"?"
"The problem with that is you aren't Ray Bradbury. You're just another guy in the lecture hall"
Okay. Truthfully, you've said very little on how "nothing" means he "had an understanding of what sex was at a young age"
