pretty sure he's out of his mind. people arent dogs, you dont just put them down when they lose their shit.

Pretty sure you're all dumbfucks because those aren't even bullets being fired at them.

It's pepper balls from a paintball gun.

Find something else to be offended about now.

lol, obvious if theyre using non lethal bullets that makes a big difference u hysterical little child
#23 - anon (06/23/2016) [-]
Calling someone else hysterical because you couldn't take two seconds to check the facts and panicked about "putting people down like dogs!"

User avatar
#25 - satanicllladvocacy (06/23/2016) [-]
nah my point stands, if people have gone crazy you dont just put them down like a dog. you didnt respond to mrwillje with "they used non lethal rounds" - what you did was imply that its ok to shoot someone if they are waving their arms at people with guns. which i disagree with, regardless of what happened in the video.

Flail around some more though.

your opinion is actually factually wrong
like you can't claim it's your opinion that the sky is green
"it can't be wrong if it's an opinion. it's my personal belief that 2+2=7"
the death penalty exists specifically to put down vicious and crazy people like mad dogs
this is a real thing that definitely happens, so you can't say it's not what we do.
you go crazy and start attacking, you get dead. go to Sweden or Canada if you want police to try and understand their attackers instead of fighting back

There was a guy up in port hardy, british columbia, canada who got shot in front of my moms house for waving a knife at a helicopter and screaming.

Was pretty terrible, guys mom ended up coming up to check it out about an hour later and screaming for a solid 10 minutes trying to get to see her sons body was sort of heart breaking.

From what I was able to gather around town after the fact the guy was about 20 and was having a bad reaction between his prescription medicine and some alcohol, the guy was disturbing the peace, the cops came, saw he had a weapon, told him to drop it, guy was tripping balls so he just kept doing what he was doing so they shot him a few times and he died. The investigation thing was happening right in front of her drive way when I went to visit was pretty crazy, ended up going on for about 3 days too diverting all the traffic around the entire town on the main road.

I think that's the sort of shit he's talking about and that's why his point still stands, even if in the particular instance in the content the guy ended up being fine cops over reacting is still something that happens. It's a good thing we have tazers and pepper bullets for this sort of thing.

what happened there was not okay. he wasn't even a threat to anything. how could he hurt a helicopter with a knife?
was that a justified kill in the eyes of the law in canada?
because that's not allowed in the states. waving a knife at a vehicle from a distance is not enough of a threat to kill for.
just like that cop who just got like 25 years for tazing that kid into a coma and giving him brain damage
unless the brutality is actually standard procedure and not just one cop going too far, it's not a problem like this guy's making it out to be

well from what I understand that's why there was a 3 day investigation into it continuously blocking off the towns main road.

mind you most of my understanding of the situation comes from hearing a good deal of gossip around town and I'm just saying the most consistent bits of the story, I was inside with headphones on during the shooting myself and as far as I could tell they didn't release an official public report and the news article I read on it a few days later basically just said a guy was shot by police officers in port hardy and no one was really sure exactly how it went down.

That being said the excuse on the police officers part from what I heard was supposed to be that he was inexperienced and wasn't sure if it was a gun or not or whether he was pointing it at him and he made a split second decision to shoot the guy once, then when the guy still didn't drop it he shot him a couple more times to be sure.

To be honest I didn't even hear the commotion prior to the gunshots and when I heard the gun shots I just thought it was someone being a red neck or a car back firing, didn't even realize any thing was going down till the cops knocked on my door to ask what I saw an hour or so later. My sister said she heard the cop tell him to drop the weapon a couple times though but she's kind of full shit and sort of biased against people she deems 'low class' and she didn't say shit to me until after the gun shots which was basically just a 'oh man did you hear gunshots?' so I kind of doubt she heard anything.

the death penalty follows due process. that isnt putting someone down like a dog.

anyone can have a psychotic break down at any time. I think you'd appreciate it if the arresting officer didnt put you down like they would a rabid dog. I really have a hard time understand why anyone would disagree with me on this, but hey I guess stranger things have happened on this website
User avatar
#34 - sherlockbatman (06/23/2016) [-]
If I started going absolutely rabid and tried to attack and kill the officer, I'd fully expect him to shoot me or at least taze/pepperspray me
and that's exactly what's happening in the video
guy went nuts, got taken down hard, and then he was arrested and processed
you're arguing a point that doesn't even apply
it's fucking moot
you're like those BLM people insisting that blacks are getting gunned down every day
no one's getting put down like a dog
it happens the way it's supposed to
what's the problem exactly?
you didn't pay enough attention, you were wrong about what's going on. get over it, no one even cares. stop trying to save face, you made a mistake
#35 - satanicllladvocacy (06/23/2016) [-]
like i already said, use of non lethal rounds makes a big difference- furthermore such consideration wouldnt be given to a rabid dog so it's beside the point im making

and we arent talking about the video, we're talking about the fact that some anon thinks a cop can shoot anyone who flails their arms at them

#36 - sherlockbatman (06/23/2016) [-]
**sherlockbatman used "*roll picture*"**

he didn't even kind of imply that it'd be okay or allowed
he called the retard a retard for retarded provoking a person pointing a gun at him
cop or not, how stupid do you have to be to spook the armed man like that?
cops make mistakes, they're human. they get scared. someone runs at them flailing and screaming with stupid ninja moves and possible hidden weapons, they could panic. they might just shoot first.
they might get in shit for it, maybe lose their badge. I'm not sure what the reprimand is for that, he might get away with it because it was still self-defense.
but the point anon made wasn't bad: "Fucking stupid that u would wave ur arms like that at a guy with a gun pointed at u"
that's how you get shot. he was lucky it was just pepper
User avatar
#38 - satanicllladvocacy (06/23/2016) [-]

yes he did. the three of us all thought the man had been shot for real. In that context, OP and I thought it was disgraceful what happened to that man, and anon thought it was justified because he was waving his hands around. or he was just trolling, what ever.

if you're having a psychotic breakdown, reality doesnt apply anymore. you understand that right?
thats not a cop, thats a 10ft tall snake with light-sabers for teeth

I dont feel sorry for cops, they signed up for their jobs because they wanted to be civil servants. well, there you are...serve civilians, have a blast. you dont get to rewrite what that means when it becomes inconvenient for you. and with that in mind, id appreciate a some digression in situation where people have clearly lost their mind but are unarmed...because that could be me or you or someone you love one day, and id rather they not get killed for nothing
User avatar
#43 - sherlockbatman (06/23/2016) [-]
yeah, you keep putting words in other people's mouths
you can insist that everyone thought it was real, but reading what was actually written, you're clearly the only one who thought those little pepper bursts were real bullets. no one else said they thought it was real when they were talking to you and they even corrected you.
that's how this whole mess started, people were correcting you for thinking the bullets were real. literally no one agreed with you. you're alone on this
also, cops "enforce and protect" not "protect and serve"
it's their job to enforce the law, protect the general public from individual threats, and also very importantly, protect themselves while on duty
wow, I think the biggest issue here is that you think there is any situation at all, any state you could be in that would excuse you from being responsible for your own actions.
pleading insanity doesn't mean you get away with it, it's still pleading guilty.
just like being drunk or drugged doesn't mean you can get away with murder or even driving
being crazy doesn't mean you can attack the cops. doesn't matter if you knew what was happening or where you were, the cops don't know that. your actions are your own, no matter how fucked in the head you are
User avatar
#44 - satanicllladvocacy (06/23/2016) [-]
im the only one who is going to admit it, yea. but it doesnt matter, the real reason we're talking is because we dont have anything better to do but scream at each others faces.
