Start with small changes to diet. Find healthy foods you like, or just cut down on what you normally eat. Find a resource to tell you what your recommended caloric intake is for a person that's your size who wants to lose about a pound a week, and take a couple minutes to find out how much you're consuming now, and then try and make some minor changes. Start small and work up. Best of luck bud

Find the kind of exercise you love doing, not just what is supposed to give you the biggest results and improve it to fit your needs.
To be dedicated you have to enjoy it too. I'm all for swimming, so I started lifting styrofoam weights.
You're supposed to keep them underwater, kind of reverse weightlifting and I love every second, even though normal weightlifting bores me.
Find the right medium, try different sports and fighting or martial arts and when you find it, abuse it!
I hope everything works out for you.

And a motivation in line of 5 million dollars to lose weight.
If I gain or lose weight, my work don't give a shit.
If he doesn't get in shape he is in breach of contract and can lose a job, and be fined milions of dollars.
Motivation is important.

I think the motivation of not getting diabetes or heart issues by the age of 40 is pretty good motivation to me.

User avatar #39 - stifflimb (02/12/2015) [-]
You can do some general training while watching a show, like sit ups, push ups, squats and so on, fill 40 min of that and you gotten a decent training.
#38 - anonymous (02/12/2015) [-]
with disney paying for you to train, plus personal trainers, dietitians and all the steroids you need, it's not so hard.

The thing I found about working out, is that you get what you put in. To work out as hard as Pratt did and change your body as much as he did, it takes a lot of sacrifice. Fortunately for him, getting fit was probably similar to a part time job, but for us non-celebs we don't get that luxury. However, nearly anyone can put in about 3 1.5-2hr sessions a week, other than the extremely busy. It's a sacrifice, means less time to party on a Friday night maybe, or less gaming time, but as hockerz said, it can be treated as a wind-down. On top of that you need some pretty disciplined dietary patterns, not a "diet" persay, but a change in lifestyle depending how much you want to lose, how fast, and when you wanna stop. Once you stop losing, you can't go back to what you're eating before, you have to have a new lifestyle revolving around maintaining.

I won't get into the details about the methods, but here's some things to look up if you're interested that don't take up a lot of time
High Intensity Interval Training
Bodybuilding.com for simple balanced workouts
Calorie Counting
Macro management
Timing of meals

If you got any further questions, don't hesitate to ask bud

I'd add leangains.com to that list, it's working wonders for me.

What would you advise to a guy who has bad eating habbits and eats maybe 2-3 times a day. I have been to gym about 2-3 years now but I have only gained about 10 kg in that time and most of it was from first few months. Physique keeps being normal, but I just cant get myself eat like a pig and everyone keeps telling me if you dont eat its a waste of time to even go to the gym.
User avatar #42 - taniv (02/12/2015) [-]
It's not a waste of time to exercise. Your diet is your fuel. But exercising still does wonders for health and body maintenance, but it can't make up for poor diet. You need both. Now specifically in terms of shaping your body, diet is essential. You can lift all day and not gain anything if you're not consuming enough essential proteins. Likewise, you can run all day and not lose anything if you're consuming too many calories.
What I have to say about diet is plan ahead. Make a healthy plan for the week, and it'll do wonders. I have shitty eating habits when left to my own devices, but if I keep an intelligent plan and stick to it I actually make loads of progress. If you don't have a lot of time to cook, do meal prep; that means, make a shit ton of food at a time and just reheat it via oven or microwave when it's time to eat.
At the end of the day, you can learn as much as you want, but knowing is half the battle. Work smart, AND work hard. You seem pretty dedicated since you've been going to the gym for so long, so just really crack down on the nutrition. Jet fuel can't melt steel beams, but it's the only thing you want to put into a jet. Work like a God and eat like a God; work diligently and intelligently, and eat all that you need to and nothing more (assuming you're a merciful God that likes to share). Best of luck bud.

The lighting helps show where every little muscle is therefore making him look even more fit.
User avatar #9 - norwegiansnowman (02/11/2015) [-]
sure, but it doesnt make him fitter
User avatar #10 - goldenrodent (02/11/2015) [-]
At this point all we have is a picture. All I can do to judge his fitness is by looking at said picture, and since good lighting makes you look even more fit yes it does add to the difference as far as we can see.
