Try to turn a hobby of yours into a career, even if it's only a bit related.
I, for example, like video games, so I became a developer. I orginially planned to be a game developer, but along the way it turned out that web developer was better suited for me for various reasons, which is what I am today, and really like my job.

why try and define your value through your career choice? Pick a random career, be happy and just enjoy what you do, spend the rest of the time doing what you love. If you don't enjoy that one then just move on until you find something you don't hate.
I don't have a career I absolutely love but I'm good at it and I enjoy the people I work with. Don't make your entire life about a career choice.
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived"

To have a goal in life, you have to know what you value.
You can not decide upon a goal to work towards if you yourself don't know what you find important. Everyone has something which is valuable to them. It could be themselves, their family members, fellow countrymen, etc.
It could be silly little things like stacking cups the fastest or something else.
The important part here is that you need to try and discover your own values before deciding on what your big goal in life is.
I don't like to say this, as I risk sounding like one of those idiot "inspirational quote" posters from Facebook, but:
You have to broaden your horizons to know the world more and think about it with the intention of knowing what's important to you. And if you already did some "broadening of your horizons" and still did not truly find what you think is important, then I can only say that you haven't broadened your horizons enough.
So to summarize it up into an order of operation:
1) Broaden horizons
Can be done through reading books, travelling, various types of work including volunteer, just generally being active in life and doing shit
2) Decide long term and short term life goal(s) based on the values which you have discovered
3) To quote Shia Laboeuf (or however his name is spelled): "JUST DO IT"
I know all that I wrote is pretty obvious stuff, but in my experience it helps to have things all nicely laid out on paper/screen to quietly ponder over.
I know there are a lot of situations more complicated than that out there, but I believe this is a good starting point for any "troubleshooting" so to speak.
Just my 2 cents on this matter.
