I refer you to my reply #668. You are correct: "than" IS for comparisons. This, however, is not a comparison.

He's a troll, but you're wrong about the grammar; the beautiful girl should have used "then." You are correct that "than" is used in direct comparisons, but only in direct ones such as, "This tree is taller than that tree." "Then" can be used in many ways, one of them being "therefore," such as, "If zerooneone wants to rag on someone about grammar," then they should have inserted a comma after "fat."

I will have to take this up with my English teacher. I was taught all year long that 'than' is for all comparisons and 'then' is for the rest of the time.
Have this koala bear gif as compensation for my grammatical error.

Also known as: "If kcits is interested in correcting zerooneone's poor grammar he should made sure the extra quotation mark was taken out of his correction. Kcits should also have known that a comma before the conjunction 'but' only applies if the conjunction is combining two separate sentences, but as that is clearly not the case no comma was required."

It would take me a while to point out what you're missing in what you just wrote. You have me on the two independent clauses; however, the entire point is stop trying to make people look stupid by nitpicking grammar and you keep on making these mistakes. It's either ironic or sad, and I haven't decided which.

A tip of the hat to you good sir. Indeed, I should have read what I typed before replying.

Than: conjunction, Used to compare the REJECTED choice in an unequal comparison.

So first off, even if you are correct and she is introducing this as a comparison she is expressing that her 22 large is the rejected choice.
Second this is NOT even a comparison; this is a conditional, as expressed by the word "if". Example "If *x* then *y*."
