I don't think a suppressor would make too much of a difference.

suppressor make a lot of difference

The power of the 2 sniper rifles should be comparable

Yes, but it's not CoD where someone won't notice you shooting a supressed sniper 5 feet away from them

You don't think the sub sonic ammunition would made it quieter, not the suppressor alone?

If you want to be silent, you will have to use subsonic ammo and a silencer. Subsonic ammo alone will still make a loud muzzle report, comparable to supersonic ammo.

On the other hand, supersonic ammo and a suppressor will do you no good, it may hide the direction of where the shot came from, but it will alert other people that a shot has been fired

Suppressors do reduce the sound by a lot but they don't make a gun silent. And if you're close enough that your cross hairs actually sync with where your bullet hits you're close enough to be heard.

actually they can adjust the cross hairs based on the wind and distance which i suspect this sniper did while the other guy swam up, granted they wouldnt be this acurate but its a movie.

no it still would be accurate, scope from WWI had windage and elevation dials

Well no I ment that the wind is constantlu changing so he would habe to manualy aggust a little to compensate just when he made the shot also wind sppeds change over distances so the bullet would almost never.hit directly on the cross hair
