I know exactly how you feel but one of the reasons i never came clean to most people was because i simply did not see the point in making life more complicated for myself needlessly, share it with the people who count it means so much more to them than the others

That was also 2 years ago.... My life has changed hmm... a shitton since then. I have maybe 1 person I trust, I cut myself off from one of my closest friends because my best friend who I deeply in love with and had stopped our beginning of a relationship because I cut myself off from the girl who I am in love with and she was just to close to her and I couldn't deal, various other stupid shit... So I have no idea where my social standing would sit if I were to tell people now.

The worst thing is that I already had a fairly strong social place in my group. I don't know why I did it, but I don't want to be that person.

if they are your friends they wont really care after you explain it to them and even if they fall out with you it wont be for long i guess its a case of do you consider them good enough mates to understand you?

How we socialize online does not reflect our offline behavior. Too many of us would be socially awkward in person. lol

I plan on visiting Europe as much as I can, so I'll probably be making multiple trips to Scotland :)

That seems like an amazing feat! I hope you accomplish it!

its fine we could always revert back to laptops :) and for those of us that drink its a very effective social lubricant
trust me scotalnd doesnt really merit multiple trips i mean since its my home country (more or less) i guess i've just seen to much of its bad side to think it would be as good as somewhere like rome :)

Laptops won't be as fun though. A lot of people on social though (I can name a few) won't exactly get along and they aren't exactly pleasant.

A new place and a new day is a new experience, so I wouldn't mind visiting familiar spots time and time again.

tbh i wasnt thinking of everyone on social or that i was thinking of a select few ;) and true but i think if it was people who got on and that they would have as much difficulty getting in real life :)
I guess :) i can think of loads of places i would revisit in the world but only one in scotland but the funny thing is is i have traveled more in Europe than in Scotland lol

I've actually thought about that, inviting some of my fj friends (and maybe a few irl friends) to a tinychat group. I'll probably give it a go one day. What do you think?

In the U.S., I'd probably like to visit New York a few times and maybe travel to some mountains here.

why not whats the worst that could happen :)
I would love to spend a day in new york but i would probably have a claustrophobic attack surrounded by that many people on all sides so i would love to go to that national park with the lake thats sort of in an open roofed cave if that makes any sense ive seen photos and it looks amazing and i would love to go to see the grand canyon properly not just drive around for 4 hours till we get told we are slowly making our way into the bottom of the canyon and need a permit and all that bollocks like last time

There's not really much reason for us to travel far west in the U.S. unless it's to visit family in California. If it's somewhere that far, we go by plane. There's no way to get to Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy, etc. by car, so plane is the obvious choice :D Maybe I can visit some overseas FJ friends!

The trip sounds like it'll be a lot of fun! And yay for free! Hope it's great!
