sure, psychology has a lot to do with everything.

This is just another option that isn't surgery, where an out of shape person could die very easy from complications.

Oh yeah, I get that dude. I'm just playing a bit of Devil's Advocate for these guys.
I honestly don't get why Boogie and people his size doesn't look towards a Lap Band. It's a fairly easy procedure without hardly any risks, and it's not as drastic as gastric bypass.

My uncle had it done, and it took him 40 minutes for the surgery and after a week of recovering he was back out working as a cop. He lost about 100lbs in one year just from mild exercise and a low carb diet. Seems like a good alternative for larger people.

"for losing all that skin" isn't that something that just naturally starts to regain the elasticity?

Not in cases where you lose a vast amount of weight all at once. Majority of it will contract back over time, but you're still gonna have a lot of flabs on you.

The article describes how the guy didn't treat himself, it was medical professionals. Also described, is how it wasn't full on starvation. As well, lots of monitoring. So, provided this is a real situation, it can be duplicated many times; improving the process and reducing the hazards to health.

So yeah, starvation didn't work. Careful planning and execution did.

I get where you're coming from, and I'm not trying to defend Boogie for being that size and Shane for being that size at one point, I'm just saying there's probably more at play, psychologically, than what we know.
Boogie has said multiple times it's not losing weight that's the problem, it's more so combating his mental disorders and such. Now, what those disorders are I have no idea, I'm just betting they play into the weight gain and trouble of weight loss.

I have a hard time believing shane did it, he wasn't really famous during his fat phase and that was a while ago so I'm not sure they would've gastric or lap-banded a young adult, although he lives in cali and the "Beautician doctors" are known to be kooky

Nah, Shane's did it. Apparently during his early years on Youtube when he got famous he had a lot of excess skin still, even when he dated what's her name, she confirmed he had did it, and that she was proud of him for losing all of that skin.

"treating obesity by total starvation can be dangerous. There are many reports of total starvation leading to death. For example, some people have died of heart failure during the fast, while another died on the 13th day of his fast from small bowel obstruction. Some people have died during the re-feeding period after the fast — one from lactic acidosis."
Probably why they didn't starve themselves.

That might be what I remember, but I also remember it not being pixel art. I think maybe Dublyoo did a similar drawing, or maybe Arnoldbusk. I remember it being similar to their art style.
