Because They live in an area where the temperature drops well below freezing. They likely use a wood burning heating system. By storing it in the basement before winter comes, it stays dry, doesn't get frozen together, and makes it so you don't have to risk carrying large amounts of wood across ice. Slipping is bad enough without logs smashing your face after ya crack yer head.

And congrats on gaining a bit of weight in basically a year of lifting. Still not that impressive and you would have easily had more gains in a legit program regardless of its focus unless it excludes the major compound lifts. Honestly, it just looks like you did a lot of core and biceps. You could gain 20 pounds in two months simply from deadlifting and squatting only with a mediocre diet.

So, let me get this straight. You went into a crossfit program for the first serious physical activity you have done in a gym. Immediately whined to the trainers that you can't do the most important strength building lifts they do and then went on to have a mocking/annoyed attitude against what the trainers specifically told you to do to get around your "injuries". No wonder you had a bad time. I would have kicked you out within a week if you came into my gym like that. Also, please tell me you actually have real injuries that were diagnosed by a doctor. Pussies who self-diagnose themselves piss me off more than anyone. It was always the shitbags in the military, football, or gym that claimed they had injuries that hindered them from doing anything hard. Kind of funny how those that lifted all of their life and kept in decent shape hardly ever get hurt, but those that literally do nothing (140 pounds....) somehow come in with "chronic" issues.

i didnt immediately whine he asked me. I have been fast and athletic my whole life so i figured i could integrate into crossfit better than just lifting heavy in a gym. Obvioulsy didnt have the size for certain sports and i wanted to build some. Wasn't self diagnosed. Went to a chiropractor for years with disk problems. I came to the conclusion that the extent of my injuries were mental blocks i put on myself and wanted to bust through them. I still deal with them, and theres certain lifts i still cant do, but ive managed. My lifestyle of constant video games led to my weakness and being more prone to injuries i realize. So its fucking idiots like yourself that give crossfit such a bad name. Jumping to conclusions and considering yourself higher than everyone else because you just so happened to decide to start lifting before you even had any pubes and you have money to blow. I didnt need self qualified trainers and 100+ bucks a month to change. I needed my own research, my 10$ a month gym, and nearly a year of my life. So congrats. You are whats wrong with crossfitters. 140->170 lbs in 10 months. pic for proof
