Gosh, so eating meat must be a gateway to eating human flesh. Or playing shooter games a gateway to us shooting up schools.
The only way weed is a gateway to other drugs is when morons who have a deficit in common sense use it to be 'mlg cool guy', the actual gateway is their desire to be cooler or fit in more and not having the damn spine or self confidence to say "Nah, fuck that shit.".
Tl;dr, there was an issue with the person before they went about pot heading it up in the first place.
Also, fuck any and all braggy smokers, drinkers and druggies, if you like it fine and fucking dandy but do it as your means of de-stress or w/e, not to be cool or relevant.
Rant over, sorry for blowing up at you specifically but I needed to get that off my chest.

Uhm no. Of course there are some bozos out there who want a bigger high and move onto other drugs, but there is nothing wrong with weed. I know plenty of people, adults, teens, and even elderly people who smoke weed all the time and have never touched any hardcore drug like heroin or others.
and tbh i can't believe you see a video of a girl dying from a HEROIN overdose and your first thought is "BAN WEED!!!!" There's nothing wrong with getting stoned from time to time.
This is coming from someone who's had family members severely affected by hardcore drugs btw

Not anymore, Chinas has surpassed the US. The US is at $18.55 trillion and China is at $20.85 trillion
In 2010 China was at $5.93 trillion and the US $14.59 trillion, and Chinas growth is almost 3 times as big as the US's growth atm.
If you mean average per person the US is at #9.

>China's GDP per capita is hilariously small
>even then the large GDP and GDPPC is only due to them artificially devaluing their currency and propping up their bloated economy with failed infrastructure projects
>China is bound for a housing bubble burst that will make America's 2008 one look like small in comparison
>people still try to pretend like China isn't a fucking shitheap

The growth of GDP is really just to be expected for China, given that it's rapidly industrializing. However, their GDP is largely a bubble and a facade. They manipulate their currency, they build empty cities, and, overall, they're just trying to make the country look wealthier than it really is.
Whereas the US is mostly industrialized already, and thus won't have a huge growth rate, as it's already grown. The GDP of the united states is also much more substantial, in that it's not just a bunch of attempts to make it seem higher than it is.
Further, in nominal GDP, the US still is richer than China.

That's only if you look at PPP, which makes poorer countries look much more equal- in layman's terms it basically factors in the cost of living compared to your pay. In poor countries the cost of living is typically lower, so the PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) goes up as a result. China's nominal GDP (basically how much money everybody earns when factoring exchange rates and such into account, typically the model used when taking international trade into account) is around $13T. A lot of claims have been coming out recently too that China has been fibbing some numbers on their growth rates to encourage investment, and they've been doing it for so long that their lies are starting to come apart- the problem is that nobody knows HOW MUCH they've been exaggerating their growth rates, but we know they've been doing it.

I don't think you really understand how debt works for a country
There are only three sovereign nations without debt, and none of them are incredibly wealthy (they're not poor, really, but they're certainly not economic powerhouses as far as countries go)- Brunei, Lichtenstein, and Palau. Every other country has external debt.
The US has the largest external debt, but that's both to be expected with a country as rich and populous as it is, and it's actually not that devastating to the country.
The US's debt, while incredibly huge, doesn't do much to hurt it because it produces enough to still be a country that others are willing to invest in, and to loan more. It's an economic powerhouse.
Whereas, say, Greece's debt is much more harmful, given that it doesn't produce that much, comparatively.
Debt for nations is nothing like debt for households.

Yeah but it's interstate and internationally. Technically if you have 20 bucks and no debt you're richer than most the Earth in America but in Australia you'd have the chance to get thousands in governmental aid in the same situation, in Denmark you'd get paid to go to school.
But interstate comparing to our own we still have 1% controlling 99% of the wealth. Technically we should have more distribution given our anti monopoly policies but instead it just gets bought up by oligarchies and oligopolies. It used to be that businesses were more profitable quicker, now you need 3 years of Capitol on average to make it in the black (out of initial business starting debt). The worst part is, we have the most friendly entrepreneurial system in the U.S. And his is the case.
If monopoly preventing systems worked absolutely the cheddar could be spread a bit, but there's few ways to explore them. We should be happy that the whole of the earth is at our disposal as Americans. You want free education? Join the military or move. I did the former, now many find it easier to do the latter (University of the People Online provides free education up to Master's degree now so there's no excuse anymore). Most my retiree friends live in the Phillipines, Singapore or 'Nam. You got a passport, use it.
