And, since I can't seem to find anything on American laws, I'll go by my own laws.

" According to the law, permission to abort a fetus after the 12th week can be given in certain circumstances, such as if there's a risk to the woman's health, or if there's a serious risk of the child being badly harmed, or if the woman has become pregnant due to sexual assault"

Basically, (in my country), unless you have a seriously good reason, such as a medical reason or you've been raped, you're not allowed to abort a post-12th-week fetus. It takes twice as long for the fetus to even develop the basic brain physiology required for consciousness.

Abortion is illegal after a certain age.
This age is well before the fetus develops anything resembling sentience.

What you're aborting is not a thinking being. It's a clump of meat.

Educate thyself. And I am aware that it isn't like, a thinking thing at the first sign of mitosis. But it does have a conscience while inside the womb, nonetheless.

You can't really compare the relation between a fetus and an actual person, with the relation between two people of different ages.

A fetus doesn't think. It's essentially just another organ in your body. Sure, eventually it'll think, but until then, there's nothing "human" about it.
It doesn't have emotions.
It doesn't have thoughts.
It's just a piece of meat.
#464 - manninex (03/09/2015) [-]
It kinda does though. Ever feel a baby kick when it's in the womb? And it's seems to have thoughts when it comes out of it's mother. I mean it's not like it just gains consciousness as soon as it's head pops out of a vagina.

Or Cesarean. Depends on how you left the body. Not gonna judge,
