4chan doesn't call itself social media, but whatever you say. You agreed that Crunchyroll isn't social media insofar as I use it to watch anime. I would say that if a website has a legitimate intended primary purpose which is not social media, then the site as a whole, regardless of secondary social media-like features, cannot be defined as social media. The primary purpose of Funnyjunk is viewing funny images, which I would not characterize as social media. Supporting this view, one of the features common to all definitions of social media is the creation of a profile.
