>What's the point?

You aren't paid to find the point, you're paid to make fries. :/

That's right, they're paid to make fries. Not deal with some idiot's power trip.

He didn't ask the customer directly "what was the point of you calling" he's wondering it to himself. Are workers supposed to think like robots and only do and think what pertains to the job? He's not out of place by complaining about an idiot customer after the fact off the job.

Psych post grad here, it's very common.

Look up "Source Monitoring"

My favourite study that I can remember about this is:

A couple took part in a study, as long as they were living together and sleeping next to each other, they are eligible.
So the woman (for example) was told to either: Tell her partner her real dream, tell her partner about a predetermined story which she would say was a dream, tell partner about a story that happened the previous day, also stating it was a dream.

The woman (same example) weeks later would attribute all of these as dreams, even though only one was a dream. This study included many examples though, not just three. Can't recall the authors off the top of my head, but if I find my textbook I'll reference it if anyone is interested.

But it's common, not just in dreams. It's a theory for many different false memory paradigms, such as the whole "Someone told me something, so I'll assume it's actually happened to me", and is assumed to be the reason behind those children accusing their teachers of being in a satanic cult in the 80s

I too have experienced this. Really trippy and disorientating. Makes you question reality.

Yeah I have a few false memories from when I was younger, pretty much everybody has some but won't ever realise it
User avatar #4459 - wildberk (04/21/2015) [-]
I experiance this WAY too often. I'm not certian why. But there are many times that I need to talk with people to make sure that I just didn't dream shit that I honeslty believe is real. It's a problem yo. Should probably see some mental health for that.

You're saying you have trouble "becoming fully concious?"

That's kind of common I guess. I felt it couple times myself, but never with this intensity. However, I would wonder a couple days later if that memory was real or if it was a dream.

Maybe psychologyexplain could say something more consistent

I've said it once and i'll say it again, reach out, make a connection with someone, family, friend, co-worker. You should also be open to the option of therapy, it gets a pretty bad rap but honestly it's there to help rebuild lives and make things better, no shame in getting back up and running. People respect those who can pull through the tough times, and most of us need some help, the best help is therapy. Go on, get your life back on track and hey, who doesn't find and upbeat, happy person more attractive anyway. hope you get better soon and that you can feel loved and appreciated, I cant say I love you because for all I know you might be Hitler

Either whisper "beep boop" to yourself until you're happy, fill that hole with drugs, or be friends with another depressed person.

set yourself a goal. not some important shit. just something very random and stupid that you've always wanted to do something you have never talked about to anyone.

Coping with depression? Find something worth living for, either a moment in your life down the road or something that makes you happy every day (a certain song or joke). Something to remind you that it's always so bad. There are good moments to look forward to.

Coping with Anxiety? Sing a song in your head, count to ten, try breathing slowly, think about the saliva in your throat, just think about ANYTHING that isn't negative. If you start thinking negatively then your anxiety will get the better of you. Control your thought process and you should be fine.

You don't need to change.
In school people make groups very early on and those groups remain solid. It's hard to break into them.
You're doing everything you can, smile and be friendly and open to give yourself a better aura. However, do not blame yourself if people do not approach you.
You're graduating soon, your new life awaits you and I promise you things change. You'll find who you truly are, and you won't want to compromise it for other's approval. Keep being you, if you ever feel lonely, know it's not your fault, and that it will pass. You will not always be lonely.

Friend request sent! but seriously, why not invite more people to events than just one person? If they all cancel do it anyways or make the event on a more manageable time, or a place closer to home. It could also help asking them if they have any other plans besides this so you know they are just bullshitting you when they cancel. Do you have narrowed interests? Have you tried expanding them past just Tv shows and funny junk? Taking up a hobby, going to a camp or just volunteering also greatly increases your chances for finding friends because you both know you have the same interests off the bat. It would also help occupy your time so you're not just sitting at home on the weekends. In a last case emergency, What about family, why not get closer to them?
