The secret window would have been a better pic for your comment, he buries a body and plants corn over the body

The problem isn't that the media is controlled by anyone, pebar; Even Huffingtonpost covered the Edward Snowden story when it happened, and they're pretty goddamn left.

The problem is that no one wants to actively go online and read the news; It only takes you five minutes to skim through headlines, fifteen minutes to read up on minor issues, and fifteen more minutes to read up on a major issue on the scale of the NSA leakage.

It also helps if you read from all sides; media outlets turn a blind eye on certain matters and focus on other issues to pan those away depending on their bias (Allsides helps you sift through that bias).

well... the media is mostly controlled by democrats and big government is something democrats advocate for. If there's a leak that shows people what it's really like to have a big government, it would be wise for those people to not talk about it.
Also 90% of Americans don't give a damn what happens to this country so that kind of news doesn't sell. A dog getting shot however is tragic and that does sell.
Furthermore, going viral on youtube helps.

Your picture is amusing. Stupid hippies, going to the bourgeois state for help.

From what I hear (I'm not American) the News are just hunting Snowden and not concentrating on what he showed the world. Imho, Reddit is a better news source than most of the world wide news sometimes.
And you know what they say. Main character dies in a movie - meh. Dog dies in a movie - cry.
#40187 - ._. It took me a month to find out about Edward Snowden, why?  [+] (5 replies) 07/06/2013 on Politics - politics news,... 0

Why doesn't anybody seem to know or care? I saw that stupid post about the police officer shooting a dog on facebook 6 times, but nothing about Edward Snowden?
