Implying I do anything but sit on my bed which is in front of my computer, laze about, and cram my pie hole full of snacks the entire day. Implying I can't eat 7.5 pizzas over the span of 24 hours. Implying all the food I eat isn't full of empty, grease and sugar filled calories and that I won't finish a family sized box of Ritz cracks and a bag of wavy lays potato chips in two hours time, washing them down with six cokes.

Anyway yes they were banned especially for use during war
People don't listen to what's written on paper and this is one of those cases where they probably shouldn't anyway.
If america or britain got rid of its nukes the world would probably have been nuked by Russia or some other power hungry country by now
If strong countries get rid of nukes, weak countries like NK will eventually figure out how to build them and end up causing massive chaos.
So yes, there are still nuclear bombs and no amount of treaties haven't you learned, mr german blood, that treaties=shitty little pieces of paper that mean nothing is going to stop it.
These countries say they are HEADED in the direction of total nuclear disarmament because weaker countries with no nukes get angry about it, but generally no, we aren't disarming or arming ourselves. Just stockpiling.

But we invade nations over nukes, because they are illegal.
We turned Iraq into an apocalypse bringing them "freedom" under the guise of "suspected nukes", that never existed. Whatever anyone may think in the west about Sadam Husein, the people loved him, and his nation was a paradise compared to what it is now!
Iran is currently on the table for invasion because it wants nuclear power and the US and the rest of the west says "No! No nuclear! It's illegal!!! We''ll kill you!" But you can't even make nuclear weapons with the components in a power plant. They are totally different things. The worst you could make is a dirty bomb. It's like you have to be afraid next time you "nuke a slice of pizza", that the US might drone bomb your whole city over the "nuclear threat" of your warm pizza.
Isn't cheap and clean energy a human right somewhere in a UN declaration?
Don't we have nuclear power plants? Don't we have nuclear weapons?
I just don't get it....

We invaded Iraq as a vengeance and oil thing, nukes were used to justify it.
The world wants to prevent small countries with radical beliefs, like NK or islam, from having nukes or nuclear power at all. Iraq, as far as America is concerned, wants rights to nukes not for the power they have oil man, what they need nuclear power for but for the weaponry. We never really say it's illegal as much as "NO NUKES DO YOU THINK WE'RE STUPID WELL ALL DIE"
You can, according to Russia, make nuclear weapons with the components in a power plant. Russia is trying to convert some of its own stockpile into power plants, they're not such a different thing since they use the same energy.
Iraq is a messed up business. It isn't really even Iraq that has all the allahu akbars. But Bush managed to somehow convince congress that Iraq, with all its oil, wants nuclear armament.
We justify our usage of nuclear weapons as both a way to prevent attacks from any nation we couldn't squash with military might, and a way to end shit before it gets serious. We might even nuke the middle east should they attack again, we're one major attack away from convincing the public of the need to give them some serious trouble.
Also, as I've said. Treaties, declarations and shit- they don't mean much in global politics. Who cares what some minor parliment member says about world peace if you're an American and you believe you have a right to be fighting. Same in the reverse. Treaties are used and abused as those in power see fit.
Nobody, or at least anybody in the UN, right now likes people from the Middle East. They're seen as one in the same by the probably very racist men of congress and parliment.
We don't want Iraq to have nuclear weaponry, or any of the middle east really- you can see how that'd be a MASSIVE problem. They all hate each other so much, it's almost hilarious considering how similar each country is. Giving them nuclear energy is bad for the sole reason that places like Russia have no problem selling them information and nuclear arms with which they can use the energy as a tool. They might already have the intelligence necessary, but not the supply of radioactive material.
The American and British governments do not trust that Iraq or any middle eastern country wants nuclear power for peace. You might be right that it's extremely hypocritical what we're doing, but this is the way the global world works after all.
