There was this big manhunt in WWII in.. that whole area. Croatia, Poland, Romania, Russia, all those other wintery hellholes. They were hunting 'serbs', which were kinda like russian gypsies. So the casualty stats are kinda jumbled between that cluster of white death, because all of you were running every which way from the Nazis.

Oh, well you're a bit right and a lot wrong. First of serbs are not like russian gypsies, they don't even live in Russia. Yes they have close ties to Russia since both countries have an orthodox christian majority.
Anyway it's not easy to explain what went on so I'll try to be brief. In WWII the first Yugoslavia, or kingdom of Yugoslavia, was invaded by the Germans. By 1939 Croatia was an autonomous province and when the Germans invaded Yugo in april of 1941 a coup it could be described as such was staged in Croatia by a pro nazi group.
Anyway Croatia (then Independent State of Croatia) at that time became a nazi puppet state lead by fascist dictator Pavelić for some reason today's extreme nationalists glorify that bastard who had thousands killed in concentration camps and gave away most of our coast to the Italians... . It's our least proud moment of history, a lot of atrocities happened to serbs, jews, gypsies, communists etc heck my grandma was imprisoned in a concentration camp for being a member of the communist youth at the age of 18... .
Anyway during the war a resistance movement formed under the communist leader J.B. Tito who in the end lead a Yugo wide partisan movement to victory against both the occupying nazis and the Croatian puppet state, thus the second Yugoslavia was born which became a (somewhat soft) authoritarian socialist country.
Anyway WW2 was pretty much a mess. But I have to tell you, there was no europe-wide manhunt against the serbs, only in Croatia unfortunately. In Serbia the local population wasn't really targeted by the nazis since the didn't hate south slavs all that much. They focused on jews, gays, communists and northern slavs such as poles, russians who they viewed as inferior...

Eh, croatia is a bit tricky because they were part of that muddle of countries collectively controlled in search for 'the serbs'. And tbh, I am honestly shocked at how low croatia's violence rates are, generally speaking.

I honestly don't know what you are talking about, search for serbs? And it's not really tricky, we were attacked when we wanted to secede from Yugoslavia which by the way we had a constitutional right to according to the 1974 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Croatia , we defended ourselves, beat the agressors and went on with our lives.
Generally violent crime is very low here, you can walk around Zagreb (capital) alone in the middle of the night and there's a pretty low chance you'd get into any kind of trouble.

I think the only two places that wouldn't have more spousal deaths than deaths in the world wars would be Germany and Japan.

However, I intentionally did the math badly because I wanted to see how many people would investigate, rather than taking my numbers as gospel and trying to prove them wrong is some theoretical way. A couple of people actually did the math themselves, the first guy got a game from steam. The actual amount of women killed by domestic violence is about a tenth of the amount of people killed in war.

I think you're wrong, I'll give you a few statistics to prove my point for countries where war was fought on their territory.
Here in Croatia there was a war that lasted from 1991-1995, It's known locally as the Homeland war and internationally as the Croatian war of independence. The number of deaths is as follows: 6,788–8,784 soldiers and 4,508–7,186 civilians. That's only the Homeland war mind you, we participated in both WW1 and WW2.
I've searched for statistics and there about 22-45 women killed by their husbands annualy, so it varies from year to year. Croatia got independent in 1991. So we could do the math as follows: 25 x 45 and 25 x 22. So in Croatia, in the last 25 years there were anywhere between 550 and 1125 women killed by their spouses. Which is a lot less than the casualties we suffered in the damn war.

Sources:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croatian_War_of_Independence - statistics for the war, you can also look up what was actually going on if you're interested.
www.sigurnomjesto.hr/en/violence-prevention/statistics/ - the deaths of spouses, I'm honestly surprised to find it was translated. The data is provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (basically ministry of police, MUP for short)
