if you consider E=mc^2 then there actually would never be any possibility to have zero kinetic energy anywhere but at the one point where the universe actually isnt moving at all. then even vacuum itself has kinetic energy.
although you can interpret the ground state as a kind of "energy offset", so it would actually be a zero energy and our physics is all calculated with some irrelevant error or somethin.

the equation you have there doesnt relate to anything discussed...so what im doin with that now?

Go to the south, or select parts of the midwest

All kinds of real, voting middle-age-to-old people calling Obama a nigger. The same people who help organize school bake sales.
User avatar #55 - youregaylol (06/25/2015) [-]
nah, lived in the south of the south for the majority of my life

nice try though

> Has family in all parts of the south

> Hear people call Obama a nigger openly without skipping a beat

Hell I live in Central New Jersey and people call Obama a nigger any chance they get

You say you lived in the south for most of your life but like...did you go outside at all? Obama being called nigger is fairly common...and that's in the real world. Honestly, you're living in a fantasy world if you really believe people haven't been calling him nigger off the internet or don't hear them say it...
User avatar #81 - youregaylol (06/25/2015) [-]
"my anecdotal evidence is credible but yours isn't"

User avatar #58 - themanwithnoplan (06/25/2015) [-]
You serious? I've lived in Indiana and Kentucky and in 7 years I've heard tons of people call him a nigger, even the kindest and level-head people I've known. At this point it's your word against mine, but I'll take your word for it.
User avatar #59 - youregaylol (06/25/2015) [-]
people see what they want to see
User avatar #62 - themanwithnoplan (06/25/2015) [-]
It's not a matter of perception. You don't just magically hear or not hear someone say "nigger" in a conversation about Obama or his policy. I don't understand what you're getting at.
User avatar #65 - youregaylol (06/25/2015) [-]
You focus on those who say the word and apply it to others while ignoring everything else.

Unless your position is that literally one person has called obama a nigger, which is pretty stupid since there will always be people out of the norm.

The fact is the left needs people to be racist, it's part of their political platform at this point.
User avatar #66 - themanwithnoplan (06/25/2015) [-]
This doesn't have to do with left or right, I'm not applying political positions to these people. What I'm saying is that I've literally heard people use "nigger" to describe Obama or to sum him up and nothing else. You're saying that there aren't people who call Obama a nigger, which I am saying is wrong. I'm not trying to make a political statement here, I'm just saying that, according to my anecdotal evidence, there are people who have called Obama a nigger to counteract your anecdotal evidence that there aren't people who call him a nigger outside of the internet. It's your word against mine and you can dismiss what I say as easily as I can dismiss what you say.
User avatar #67 - youregaylol (06/25/2015) [-]
Of course people have called obama a nigger at some point, if that was what you're arguing you win I guess.

there is only one point in the universe where you could have no kinetic energy at all
having no kinetic energy is a matter of relativity and can only be achieved at one infinitesimal point somewhere out there.

but thats not the definition of temperature
if all particles are moving in the same direction they still could have kinetic energy and a temperature at zero (temperatures are vibrations of particles, not just any kind of movement)
User avatar #22 - lordbyronxiv (06/24/2015) [-]
Thermodynamic temperature is defined in terms of energy and entropy:

1/T = dS/dU

and thus would equal 0 iff the rate of change of energy with respect to entropy were 0. The laws of thermodynamics dictate that absolute zero cannot be reached using only thermodynamic means, as the temperature of the substance being cooled approaches the temperature of the cooling agent asymptotically.

A system at absolute zero still possesses quantum mechanical zero-point energy, the energy of its ground state at absolute zero. The kinetic energy of the ground state cannot be removed.
#25 - Rascal (06/24/2015) [-]

yeah.

and i think so. it is truly even more interesting design to me than absolute zero is.

a temparture so hot it breaks all the laws of physics. freaking trippy as fuck design.
#27 - Rascal (06/24/2015) [-]
thats the kinda useless and stupid side of physics
its just a definition
same as "super massive black holes are less dense than water"
yeah they are....but its a stupid ass definition, it kinda implies things....but after you read how the density is defined (by its schwarzschild radius) its just the usual black hole again everyone, nothin new

the temperature --> inf thingy is something similar. you have to define something as a maximum energy state, but ill tell you ....since particles wont ever move faster than light we have an actual maximum energy for any kinda systems which isnt at infinity, so you cant feed as much energy as you want to a system and you will stop at a certain temperature which is about... ridiculously fuckin hot

some things in physics shouldnt be taken too seriously

still doesnt change the fact absolute zero sand would not be kinetic.

also fun fact: we can also go as high as we want when it comes to how hot things can get. but after a certain while the heat would become so high that physics cant even say how could it get hotter than that
User avatar #19 - lordbyronxiv (06/24/2015) [-]
agreed, if i understand what you're saying. Absolute zero sand would not be kinetic in the sense that it would have no kinetic energy.

and do you mean absolute hot / Planck temperature? definitely fascinating!

But California has the most predominant obnoxious people around. And if California were to cut away from the rest of the US, I'm sure that the numbers would drastically change not only from the sudden changes but because of how they have voted historically. I see leftist policies as being too supportive of parasitism, especially as of late, and allowing those come to fruition through their dominance over politics.

I'm sure there's plenty of right-leaning republicans in California, but the majority are left-leaning and, to me, that's just waiting for disaster. Of course, you can just look at the pic I posted earlier to see I'm not 100% right-leaning, but I do believe that we have already gone too far left in this country and need to revert to a more capitalistic society.

1. Because we haven't had a nuclear war where you, Alaska, and Hawaii form a little circlejerk www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZMwKPmsbWE

2. California's doing so well because of the size, population, and support from the rest of America. California's filled with some of the most obnoxious people around; even going so far as to want to split into a "NoCal" and "SoCal."

3. California also has some of the biggest libtards around.
User avatar #226 - lordbyronxiv (06/22/2015) [-]
1. lol at England

2. California is actually one of the least dependent on the federal government / rest of America.

2015 Federal Funding as % of State Revenue
CA: 26.44%
TX: 33.28% I picked Texas because it's the most red state I could think of

Every state is filled with obnoxious people. lol

3. The radicals of all political groups are hella annoying. I'm just saying that CA implements an excellent mix of classically liberal and neoliberal (conservative) economic policies.
