There is one in my household, yes, that has no such problems. sniffythebird also owns two of the 980 Twin Frozrs. If my memory serves correctly, the fans turn off at low load/temperatures because at that point there's little purpose for them to be on.

Color schemes aren't stupid at all! There's a reason why in my suggestion everything was black & red, since I figured that was the color scheme you were going for.

I suppose if the system is intended for hosting servers, rendering, or animation, you can benefit from the extra RAM and hyperthreading, otherwise it's silly in a gaming/media system, which my suggested was finely tuned towards. Nonetheless, I don't really know your intention with the system, but 90% of users don't have any professional application with their systems, so you can't really blame me for assuming.
Also, you shouldn't spend extra for higher frequency RAM; it provides no noticeable performance difference and tends to only provide a marginally better benchmark. $9.56/GB is pretty expensive for DDR3, as-well.
Allow me to quote myself from >>#24338: Also, it comes with dual-link DVI, which is what you'd use to achieve 144Hz.

I know that higher clocked RAM makes almost no difference, and over 1866 you see no real benifits.
But 1866 is the better than 1600, so I want to get something like that.
this 2400 is cheaper than most 1866 so I figured I would spring for it.

Also, I know it's stupid, but I am going for a color scheme.

Corsair's mechanical keyboards lead the market for mechanical keyboards, with good reason. They're amongst the highest quality keyboards available (alongside Das), including software and internal hardware wise. It's also LED lit, but I suppose that's relative to your own tastes (although it does make night visibility significantly higher if you're not entirely confident with the location of some keys).
User avatar #24360 - lazaman (4 hours ago) [-]
Ill replace the keyboard and my RAM.
But everything else isn't what I'm going for.
The i5 doesn't even have hyperthreading.

I chose new ram, this stuff clocks 2400, but I will need to downclock it a bit, still cheaper than most other stuff.
Also you never answered my question.
What kind of cable do I need to output to 1080p ad 144hz.

No we don't.
Finding the INJURY, NOT DEATH, of furries at a furcon to be a bit funny isn't that bad.
Also I found it funny because they were literally GASSED, its ******* poetic.
For years now I have been jokingly saying, gas the furries.
And some dude just did it.
Its hilarious.

But DUDE, they could have died! What kind of messed up prank is that, that's murder! You can't just-

Awww, who am I kidding they literally GASSED those fuzzy ***** . Oho man, someone literally tried to purge those assholes irl, and he used gas to do it! Fantastic!

Since when did people become moral little **** heads? How is this not ******* hysterical?
