Of course not. They are for anyone too poor to afford food, especially little kids of families.

I wouldn't say it's inherently destructive at all, and in fact certainly does FAR more good than it does harm.
But food banks and soup kitchens and other charity organizations are systems, and systems can and will always be taken advantage of by someone. For every homeless person that remains homeless because it's easier than working and they have no self-respect, there are countless families with children whose lives get saved by the free food provided to them.
There's always the minority of people that will take advantage of the good-willed, that does not mean that good-will is destructive.

hold on, i thought soup kitchens are a homeless only thing? but as far as just giving the hungry food, it literally destroyed every farmer in the vicinity in africa

Art doesn't solve the problem either.
It doesn't even delay it.
Or do literally anything at all.

The same could be said of every basic human right that we need to survive though.
"I don't care if I'm allowed to sleep in a nice bed tonight if I'm just going to be tired again tomorrow, give me inspiring art instead while I sleep on the street!"
"I haven't drank anything in 3 days but I'm gonna turn down a glass of refreshing water because I'll eventually get thirsty again anyway."

Sure, you'll get hungry again and still be homeless/extremely impovershed unable to properly feed yourself, but that doesn't make a free meal any less important.

i'm not saying it isn't important, I'm saying just giving food away is inherently destructive. i have seen homeless people turn down a job because sitting on a corner begging for booze money is easier. why work hard for a living when you can live for free?
